NOVOGRATZ Vintage Tufted Sofa Sleeper II, Blue Velvet

I bought this to replace an expensive sofa destroyed by one of our dogs. Everything from deliver, through set-up to the look and feel of it far exceeded my expectations. It's probably not the best sofa if you're planning on putting in your primary living space for daily, heavy usage but we put it in a parlor so it won't get beat up (unless the dog destroys this one, too). First of all, it was packed brilliantly, had I known how compact the box was I would've done the free pick up from WalMart, I didn't think it would fit in my Ford Escape but once I saw the box, I realized it would've easily fit. We thought it had been shipped without all the parts until my husband realized they were all neatly zippered under the body of the seat of the futon. Amazing. Everything went together quickly and easily. It look really great in the space we chose, it's firm but actually very comfortable. The color is a nice deep blue which makes it look richer than if it were too vibrant. It actually seems like WalMart and the manufacturer addressed some of the earlier issues listed in the reviews which was very impressive. If you want a call looking, kinda retro, futon sofa, don't hesitate, get this.

I was nervous to even buy a sofa from Walmart,but I was like wth I will take the risk! When I went to the store to pick it up it was normal size box . I got scared and even asked the employees if there was any additional boxes . I could not understand how there was a sofa in there. Took it home and began to build it . The rest of the pieces are inside the sofa ! So innovative and later can be used as storage . Had a movie night all day they were all positive compliments !i am in love ! Best rush ever !

I got this couch in the blue color.. Sooo pretty!! It is a little firm but not bad, besides I do prefer it that way... It's very comfortable.. The first night I got it I sat on it like a couch then, I put it down as a futon! I ended up falling asleep on it.. The couch was very easy to put together! It's AWESOME how everything you need is already included in the couch.. Look closely and unzip the sides. You will find the tools there & another zipped up compartment on the top part of the couch where it folds down & in that compartment unzip & you'll find the other legs that you need to bring down only when you're using it as a sleeper.. When you put it back up as a couch put those legs back in and zip up!! LOOOOVE it!!!

My daughter has wanted a pink sofa for years. When she moved into a new apt in New York City and needed an extra sleeping space as well, I had to buy it. Her sister put it together by herself! They love it and so do I. Great to be able to make a dream come true for so little.

The sleeper is really nice for the price, albeit I've had it for less than a week. When the description said velour I thought about the thick velour pants and sweatshirts that used to be ubiquitous a few years back. This is a much shorter velour, almost like peach fuzz. I don't know how this will hold up over the years. Yes, it is very firm cushions which I like compared to our overstuffed loveseat, but I like back support. The transition from sleeper to sofa is easy, you pull the back all the way towards the seat portion of the sofa to unlock it so it can fall back into a sleeper, and has two support legs in zippered compartments in the back. I chose the pink one and I think it looks a little paler on-screen than it does in person, it is not quite bubblegum pink, but almost.

This sofa is very cute. The tufting makes it look a little bit more pricey than it is. The velour is soft, but it is by no means velvet. Keep in mind, this sofa is probably half the price of a purely velvet sofa. However, the construction is solid, which I noticed while assembling it. The box it comes in is incredibly cumbersome, so don't select store pickup unless you know someone with a truck that is willing to hoist the gigantic package around. I am a very strong female, but the box itself is very wide. You will need help. I was a little nervous about the taupe color, as it was a compromise with my fiancé. I had wanted pink. However, I think the taupe color coordinates well with everything else we own, so it is probably the more practical color option. The sofa itself is very comfortable- I don't know why people said otherwise. I'm not expecting the upholstery to deflate in three months. This is good choice if you not enjoy quicksand couches. My fiancé and I have a very firm bed, so firm may just be our preference. My only qualm with this sofa is that the bottom center leg does not touch the ground all the way. It is meant to support the middle of the sofa. I'm worried that in a year or two, the sofa may collapse a little in the center due to the center leg being a hit to short. Other than that, this sofa seems like an incredible value for the money.

Built well enough for the money and nice looking. After getting large bulky package to basement and unpacking found a small rip on top of back of sofa , even though the packaging was not damaged at all. Real bummer on that, will not return as it was bad enough moving it down stairs to basement. Photo of small bad spot attached with coin as reference of size.

So I placed an order and received a delivery date for the following Friday that said it would be delivered sometime that day but when I called Pilot who was delivering it they gave me a week later date and said I would have to schedule a delivery time...this was no where on Walmart's site. The day it was to be delivered it was still in Florida. I finally received it a week later. It had four small spots where it was damaged I'm assuming in delivery. I opted to keep it because I already had the chair and ottoman and the blue is no longer available. It's not really a sofa sleeper but a futon. It sits very firm and it's a little smaller than a normal sofa. I love the way all of them look. If you want a sofa you sink into, this is not for you. I recommend having it delivered to the store and not your home. My chair and ottoman had no damage but the sofa is heavy so take a truck and friends. I had no problem putting any of them together they came with the tools needed.

The only reason I gave it a 1 star for now is because I opened my the box to my couch and it was all sliced up.....I am very unhappy only because they were not careful with it at all...I am returning it and going to order it again and then I will change my review when I get it again....Other than that its pretty

This item was great; however, the shipping was horrible. After a variety of problems with the actual shipping time, the shippers brought a set of lawn chairs instead of a couch. I called the company they said they would call back, never did. I called, said they would call in the morning, never did. I did receive my couch that day only because I was home, noone called ahead. The people that brought it were not in their own vehicle (ford explorer). Not professional.
