I rub oil this on varicose veins in my legs, and even though it takes time I am seeing the veins become smaller yay!!!

This essential oil has a potent woodsy, piney, quasi-minty scent. It pairs well with peppermint oil, the combination in a diffuser evoking a walk in the woods on a cool, dewy morning. The cypress-peppermint blend has the added benefit of keeping cockroaches at bay. I had a roach issue recently originating from my neighbor’s apartment. Averse to using insecticide in my apartment, I tried various essential oils and oil combinations including eucalyptus, tea tree, and wintergreen, with limited success. However, when I added a few drops of Now cypress and peppermint oils to several cotton squares scattered in places where the roaches appeared most frequently, the pests disappeared in no time. The key is to add drops daily, as the scent weakens considerably after 24 hours.

I was pleased with the smell and the efficacy of this cypress oil. I wish the bottle was a bit larger for the price, but it was still a good purchase that I will make again.

My review is not based on the quality, but the smell. I'm not a fan of it and I prefer sweeter, floral and muskier oils rather than camphorous. It works well but it smells like tar, black licorice and camphor mixed. I use it sparingly in my own blends as it is potent. If you can get passed the smell, I'd say it works well.

Does not smell like cypress oil.
