This toy is perfect soliution for little one, as it need only batteries can be placed anywhere and realy warns if somebody enter the room. When robot sense movement, his head lights up and start to move all directions, wheeled base starting to run and find intruder. The screeming siren alert if somebody enters the room. Toy is very funny and perfect for kids who wants security camera in the room. Also it perfect as a gift as all kids will enjoy those features

My 7 year old is not fed up of it yet so it's definitely standing the test of time!! Ha anything to stop his sister going in his room!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had lots of fun with this toy. It basically detects movement and sets off an alarm, which can be turned off! It's moves better on wood then the carpet. My children love robots and figuring out how they work so they had fun investigating and hiding it in the cupboards and behind doors to frighten me. Great for kids and the snack cupboard!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The spybots spotbot is a great fun and versatile robot. It's a fun toy that lends itself to be used in other games trying to dodge the robot. The lights and movement are fun, and it can also be used for the safety element also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm kind of torn on this robot as it does exactly what it says on the tin, but at the same time I feel like it's a little basic, but that said basic is kind of ok for this product.... let me explain... The spotbot is essentially a room alarm, when he is activated by an "intuder" or an "extruner" as my daughter called it he sounds an alarm lights up and "gives chase". Packaging is great but not over the top, it was pretty easy to get spotbot out of teh box compared with some other toys, he does not however come with the AAA batteries that are required for him to function but luckily as a 4 kid household we always have some to hand. Setup is easy and explained well in the instructions, turn him on and get out of the way, then he will sit in silence until something moves infront of him to activate his spybotness. at this point I became a little underwhelmed, his super bright light isn't exactly illuminating, but it does light up and his head moves around like he is searching. His alarm isn't exactly alarming as it's not very loud (though I imagine this will probably be a blessing in disguise if the kids ever set it off at 4am going to the bathroom. and as far as the "giving chase" goes, he kind of moves a meter forward then turns around and goes back to where he was before shutting down. All in all it's a little underwhelming as to the box claims ... BUT that said, my daughters (8 and 4) both played with this for at leat an hour and went beck to play with it again later, so something about it kept thier attention for a while and at the 22 quid pricepoint maybe my expectations were a little high. Overall the robot does exactly what it is supposed to do, setup is so simple my 4 year old can work it and my 8 year old was intrigued enough by it that she wanted to play with it too so spotbot must be alright overall, I think I just set the bar too high in my expectations on this one. Overall if you are looking for a room guardian that won't scare the bejeezus out of you at 4am... spotbot is a great place to start, go buy one and make up your mind, you would pay more for a takeaway.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spybot's spotbot is a great toy for a child to put in front of their bedroom door to notify them when sneaky brothers or sisters are trying to get in their room. It senses movement and will shine a really bright light in the direction of movement and make a very loud siren sound, to deter "intruders" A cool idea, but my girl's got bored of spybot quite quickly. He also didn't move to well on carpet.

Easy to set up and all the kids think its great that it lights up and chases you round while its siren goes off. Suitable for a range of ages, my daughter thinks its hilarious that no one can go in her room without her knowing anymore

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved the idea of this so I thought…..why not. So firstly it does do what it should! It picks up movement and senses it quite well, however it then squeals really loudly. It also just does what it wants most of the time and goes off in a random direction. The light wasn't as bright as I expected. It is made well with nice bright colours. My son loves it even though I wasn't entirely enamoured with it.
