This bread knife is amazing!!!! My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner. I've tried other bread knives and even tried my electric carving knife in desperation to cut through tough crust sourdough. Nothing worked. But this beautiful knife slices so effortlessly, so smoothly through any loaf of bread. Soft or tough sourdough. AND I can make THIN and EVEN slices. The handle feels sturdy. I thought at first that I was going to have to assemble it, but it was assembled and came with additional screws and screwdriver for the blade. It comes with a linen case. All of it came nicely displayed in a box. I personally wouldn't put in the dishwasher. I feel it would be harsh on the blade and wood. I would recommend handwashing, but very carefully so as not to be cut by the sharp blade. Best knife ever!!

This is one impressive knife. The wooden handle is made of thick quality wood with a nice finish. The blade being double edged is perfect for left or right handed people. No having to move the blade like on my previous bread knife. The blade is extremely sharp and because the serrations are large there is not much crumb when cutting the bread. . This can be used for cutting many things and you are not limited to just bread. I am surprised at the quality for the price. It also comes with a small screwdriver and a knife carrying pouch. This knife will give me many years of good service.

Beautiful additional to the kitchen!!!! this 16" breadknife is an absolute beast! Be careful is an understatement....this is a double sided serrated blade that will power through even the hardest of sourdough or baguettes. The knife comes with a sheath that fits over the blade but you have to be very careful putting it on because its a very tight fit over the blade and if you slip then its gonna hurt. The knife comes with a drawstring canvas bag that holds it well ans closes with the drawstring. Ergonomically this knife fits in the hand very comfortable and it diesnt mtter if your a lefty or a righty. The blade is sturdy and doesnt bend horribly like so many other that are similar to this style knife. Theres a mini screwdriver and 2 extra screws for the blade if you have to adjust it or if you lose the screws. Its very very sharp and so durable. These types of knives are a must in the kitchen if youre a baker and its getting ready to be sourdough baking season again so im gearing up with this new knife. great price for such a beautiful and strong piece!

When I got this knife, the price was $10.01 - on sale. Original price was $39.99. For the sale price, it's a steal. The original cost might be on par for a knife this good. I sliced some bread (I only had sliced bread, so I cut a heel into 4 pieces). It cut fast and sharp (see the clean edges in one of the photos). The protective cover looks like paper, but it isn't. It's very strong. I was concerned about cutting my fingers when I took it off. Didn't seem super easy to take off or put on, but it is manageable. Just be careful because the blade IS sharp. It came with a screwdriver and a couple of tiny screws. I guess that's in case you want to turn the blade around in case the side you use gets dull. Or if you want to replace the blade (maybe the seller sells replacement blades. I don't know). Very easy to use.

Thick wooden handle and sharp serrated blade is perfect for slicing the bread without squishing it. For example, when making garlic bread. High quality, so worth the price. Home chef here. No instructions on if it is dishwasher safe or not.

I am using this on my homemade sourdough loaves, and it is 10 out of 10 in my book. It seems sturdy and it makes uniform slices easily. I highly recommend!

Needed to upgrade my dull bread knife. This is sharp, cuts through easily, and I have no issues with it getting stuck, as I have with other blades with a wavy pattern. Would definitely recommend this.
