I used Cosequin for my scotties for years, all of whom lived for more than 18 years. You could tell when I missed a day or two, that is how big of a difference it makes. I recently purchased Cosequin for my daughters cat who seems to be slowing down. She was rescued several years ago, so we do not know her exact age. I purchased the Cosequin that you can sprinkle on their food or treat. She ate it no problem and has been more playful these days. Thumbs up for Cosequin!
Once my cats turn eight, I give them Cosequin to help with their joints as they age. Most of my cats have lived between the ages of 17 to 20 and I truly believe that it helps with their joints. They continue to climb their cat trees and sleep on the top baskets.
I mix it with a wet treat and my boy eats it right up. I have noticed a difference in his walk, jump, and letting me touch his hip. He is 14 and got out about 10 years ago and was gone for 3 months. Someone had him and abused him badly to the point that his tail had to be amputated and his left hip was damaged. He now walks and jumps like a different kitty. His fear of bags is mostly gone now. I think that was a time thing, but this has been a blessing.
This is the easiest way to give my older cat a little more mobility. The capsules come apart and the powder goes in his food. He has never turned his food away because of this. Great for cats missing some teeth. Mine won't eat the treats. I feel it works well and adds to his quality of life. He used to limp, now he doesn't. Would recommend.
Nutramax cosequin for joint health makes a healthy difference for 2 different kitties in a BIG good way. Walk run easir jump higher climb better play longer. Empty contents 1 pill in kitty food ( dry propkan turkey oatmeal rice or canned food extra gravy shreds favorites to my kitty)
I have a 14 year old cat and this has really helped my cat. I literally can see a difference in how she acts physically. I would highly recommend for your senior cat. Walmart has the best price on this too.
Bought this for my 10-year-old kittie that is very arthritic. I sprinkle the capsule on her food every day and it seems to be helping. Can't afford to go to vets these days unless it's an emergency and this appears to help with her pain.
For not being a prescription for my kittie's limping, I believe it does as well as can be expected. I am using 2 of these at a time, once a day. Without that she does limp more. The prescription she had gave better results though.
When ordering these, I believed I was getting the maximum strength Cosequin and somehow this is what showed up. Because my cat was already used to the maximum strength, I have to use 2 capsules daily instead of one. I must say that these sprinkle capsules, regardless of dosage strength, are the best thing for a picky kitty... she can't taste them at all, and now that I've adjusted her dose, she is doing better.
I have to say, I'm disappointed that the size of the capsule is significantly smaller than what was in my last bottle. The price is still the same, so is the quantity, so they've got to cut cost somewhere, and that somewhere is size. Otherwise, the product is great, and it has made a big difference on how my cat's mobility has improved. For a geezer, he's moving around better, and can see him ache when I've forgotten.
