My retired, Service Dog has hip and joint problems and this has worked the best for him so far. Will definitly purchase again asap! :D
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A good product to give to any dog especially when getting older. I have two dogs that took these with no problem. They like the taste so easy to use as a treat . I would recommend to any dog owner whose dog is reaching adult age.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using these for about a month and I can't really say if they've made much of a difference for our 6 year old lab. He doesn't mind them tho so we will continue and hopefully see some improvement!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received these hip and joint extra strength chew "treats" for my two big dogs to try. The pack I had was resealable and kept them fresh with good texture. My dogs are bigger, so I always worry about their hips and joints as they age. These treats have great quality and ingredients, which give me peace of mind. They come in large quantities and either chewable tablet or treat form. My dogs love the way they smell and taste, so I always tell them it's a treat rather than a medicine or vitamin. I'd definitely recommend trying them as they are a great supplemental chew for good health.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 13 year old dog has been taking dasuquin for awhile now which have helped him significantly. I have to say I didn't notice a change when giving him these instead but I take that as a good thing, meaning they seem to be just as effective. My dog also has no problem taking these so they must taste pretty good as he can be picky about what he eats.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog is 10 years old so he definitely needs some hip and joint support. He loved these supplements! They seemed to taste great to him and he got all excited when we picked up the package. I think they have helped him as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent these for my dog to try out and review. He really enjoys them and looks forward to his vitamin everyday. I don't know if it's helping his joints or not because he is only 2 but they don't upset his stomach and his coat is shiny.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two large breed German Shepherd mixes and they are prone to hip issues. My oldest dog is almost 11 and my younger boy is 4, I noticed a huge positive difference when using these! We brought them with on vacation and what would normally make my older boy sore (running and swimming) was no problem for him at all! I was pleasantly surprised with how well these work and my boys love the taste! 100% would purchase!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My senior dog was able to eat these like a treat as they're firm but chewy and smell like a beef treat. Any size dog could handle these chews as they're about the width of a dime. I believe they helped my senior dog some as he was able to go up and down stairs (his choice, he didn't have to use them) but they certainly didn't make him not have his joint soreness. I do believe they are a good vitamin option but not a supplement to fix an issue. The value is good for the amount of glucosamine you receive in my opinion.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dosage instructions for Nutri-Vet's Hip & Joint Extra Strength Chewable Tablets should be simplified. The bottle says, "one-half chewable per 40lbs of body weight twice daily." It would be easier to figure out the dosage if it was more along the lines of, "one tablet per 80lbs of body weight, twice daily." My dogs each weigh about 75 lbs so I've been giving them each one tablet, and only once per day, because neither of them weigh a full 80 lbs and I don't want them to accidentally overdose. The bottle says to allow 4-6 weeks for best results, so I can't really say how well these work. What I can say is that my dogs think they're getting treats, so they're happy to take them. They haven't had any adverse reactions after ingesting them, and the ingredients (glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM) seem promising.
