As long as you follow the directions in the guide it does work very well for a while. The nonstick does wear off even following the cleaning and cooking directions and the free item packet thats inside the box i never received after putting the needed information for it. but for the cost its a decent nonstick skillet.
I've never experienced a no stick pan that worked this well. I mean it's kind of unreal! Cooked several meals so far, eggs, fried rice, stir-fry, Bubba Burgers, frozen entries that needed some frying. Cooking up a burger is easy peasy with fast cleanup. I'm paying particular attention to using low to medium heat. The lid has a insolated handle. I'll see how long I can make it last. I use induction exclusively!
I was replacing pans I used for frying, deep/oil stove frying and stir fry. This is all metal construction with a nonstick coating. It works well as a nonstick pan and J's easy to clean. It has a large capacity which is what I needed. The handle has a rubber sleeve to handle it without touching a hot handle. It is moderate to heavy in weight. Excellent choice!
Potstickers will stick to the pan. Regardless of oil being in it. I bought this for myself to use in our family restaurant buisness. My wife uses T-fal and I wanted something better as I was not happy with the quality of them and how long they last. I still like the pan very much. And I keep it on low or medium. Never High! The potstickers will stick to the bottom, and you have to move them gently with a spatula. But sometimes the bottoms tear. But once I get them to a slight brown, they stop sticking. Then I can finish browning the bottoms. I love the blue color and the handle is long and the pan is light. The grip is nice and comfortable.
This fry pan is way too large for my burners on my electric stove. Of which the largest burner is 10. 5 Inches, and my regular-sized skillet is 10. 5 inches. The Nutrichef skillet is 14 inches or larger in diameter than my largest burner. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to cook my food evenly in a skillet this large. I haven't tried yet, and I'm a little intimidated about trying. Besides, it won't fit in my stove, where I keep my other skillet. This stove I have is an apartment stove and is smaller than ur regular ranges. I can't even close the oven door with this humongous skillet inside. This is where I usually keep my pots and pans. I'm thinking of returning it and buying a smaller skillet instead.
At first I thought this was a good pan. After using it for a few months, I've changed my mind. Everything sticks to this pan. Even if you fry something like bacon it sticks if you do t use oil. I wouldn't recommend this pan. For $79 it should perform better.
0-stars wish I didn't have to even select ""1"" star I just bought this frying pan 4 months ago and took wonderful care of it (always hand washed, never cooked with high heat, only used rubber spatulas etc). This is what it looks like now and how food sticks to it. Smh. I've contacted NutriChef for a refund of this extremely faulty product & Pyle will step in to take further action on my behalf if NutriChef does not help me.
Purchased in May; the non-stick is not there anymore in under 6 months. Didn't waste your money if you actually plan to use the pan for cooking.
After a month of using maybe 3 times a week everything is sticking to it. Has burned in marks than cannot be removed even after a vinegar treatment. Forget a piece of fish, it's going to stick when you turn it. Seems to be well built with cheap materials. Return in process.
Buyer Beware !!!! We purchased two of these the 12"" and the 14"" for $44. 99 and $75. 99, they have both discolored and both stick. The 12 is completely useless now and we don't use it. The 14 has spots that will not come clean and you have to use a rubber scrapper to get it clean because it is no longer non stick. We have made thousands of dollars worth of purchases on our Prime account and this was the worst $120. 98.
