Love that there is no capsule. I'm allergic to most and this way I can just scoop into my coffee or protein shake
I bought this to tenderize steaks. If you're buying it for this purpose, be advised a little goes a long way!!! I sprinkled a tiny bit on a steak and let it sit for about 20 min and after cooking it, steak was waaaaaay too tender! Was falling apart. Maybe lightly sprinkle and let it sit a bit less than I did. Maybe 10 minutes? Overall I do believe the powder does a good job for tenderizing purposes.
I specifically purchased this to make my own meat tenderizer so that I could mix it with Himalayan Pink salt or Celtic salt along with onion and garlic powder. I was unable to ever find a commercial meat tenderizer without a ton of commercial salt so I decided to make my own. First attempt made the meat too mushy as I tried to use it in marinade. I got smart and added a lot more seasonings to cut it and just barely put it on both sides of a London Broil and it turned out wonderful. Recommend.
This helps with my dog's digestion. He does much better while he's on it. It must not change the flavor of his food because he has no issues eating it. I also use it and it aids my digestion too. It's better than some of the pills with a bunch of sugar and extra ingredients.
This product is fantastic! Great quality, clean powder, and it dissolves easily into smoothies. I find it helps with body aches. I also use this for tenderizing meat since it will make the toughest cuts tender. It is pretty effective but can affect the taste if you use too much so I would suggest to use it sparingly.
Constant debilitating pain has interfered with the quality of my life. I had found great success with the proteolytic enzyme Serrapeptase and I was willing to pay the over $100 a month fee to knock down my pain. Then I remembered BROMELAIN, another proteolytic enzyme, but at a fraction of the cost. So I tried Bromelain. It was just as effective at substantially reducing my pain levels as Serrapeptase but for far less of a financial investment. I take 1,000 mg of this excellent, sweet, fruity powder preferably on an empty stomach for rapid absorption. Within 60 minutes of ingestion I experience noticeable pain reduction. I am then in a much better mood. I now take this amount 3 or more times per day as needed. Also, at this level I am not concerned about bee's or wasps. Their venom is a protein structure and the Bromelain in my tissues obliterates their venomous stings within seconds Also remember, most serious physical dis-ease has inflammation as a major co-factor and Bromelain is a very potent anti-inflammatory. Professional athletes use it to accelerate wound healing. Peace, out.
I put this powder into capsules and took them for some allergies and inflammation. They worked very well, just as any bromelain would. They have a slight sweet smell of pineapple. You will want to be careful with this stuff. It is a very fine powder and can easily get everywhere. If it gets on your skin or into your mouth, wash it off as it will begin to break down proteins.
The first batch had a great taste. I loved taking it! Due to COVID-19, I have to leave my supplements at work and won't see them for a while. I decided to suck it up and buy another container. I have no idea what they sent me when I reordered. It was completely different. It smelled awful, was orange instead of yellow, and was clumpy. Worst of all, the window to return expired. I recommend looking for another product from a better company.
I have bought and used this product for over a year. I give it twice a day to my dog and Bromelain is a wonderful anti-inflammatory agent for his slipped disc issues. Have been delighted UNTIL this new jar I got. I wish I had paid better attention to some reviews - but I did not. When I opened the new jar it was not the usual white powder - but more of a beige brown - it smelled okay - so I thought just a natural occurrence within batches. WRONG. Feed it to my dog as usual with his dinner...30 minutes later VOMITING. Did not make make the connection since he has been on Bromelain for over a year - thought it might be new food I was trying....next day fed old food nothing added....he was fine...today fed old food with Bromelain and 30 minutes later VOMITED again! ... Something is very wrong with this product....be careful if the powder is not perfectly white....I no longer trust their production process, and I am changing brands.
I've taken Nutricost Bromelain powder before. What I received is NOT remotely consistent with what I received previously! Bromelain is supposed to taste and smell like Pineapple (as it always has when I've purchased it in the past). Whatever this is, it is disgusting and I question what it is exactly. The color, texture, taste and smell are way off. Update... we were told that this product would be accepted back for a partial refund subsequent to notifying this seller. We'd opened the product just past the return date window because I was still finishing a former bottle. We went to the trouble of paying for return shipping for the partial refund. We reached out multiple times after verifying through tracking that the defective product was returned. We've heard multiple excuses now about heavy workload delaying the partial return. That was a long time ago. We've also contacted Nutricost about this issue with their product and were told to return it to the seller. We will never buy another product from this seller or from Nuticost. My advice is to find another dealer and another brand.
