Nice to have option in place of pre-made drink mixes for cycling. Very low sweetness makes it easy to prepare your own high carb drinks without getting a sick stomach. I mix them with the little flavor packets from Crystal Lite or Walmart brand, whatever flavor seems good for a while. I think that's a key for drinking this stuff without getting overly sick of it - low sweetness and lots of flavors to choose from. Price has gone up a little faster than it seems like it should over the years, but still a good value.
It's a fine white powder that dissolves easily into water. Does not clump. Mix it with Cytomax to get a hi-carb version. 2 scoops of Cytomax + 1 scoop Maltodextrin. It does NOT make the drink sweeter. The goal is to have a 2:1 maltodextrin to fructose ratio. Cytomax is 1:1. The end result should be something close to 80 grams of carbs (320 calories) in a 20 oz bottle. Similar as SiS Beta Fuel or Maurten 320. Your body should be able to easily absorb at least one bottle per hour. Bigger people can absorb more. Hi-carb drinks minimize glycogen depletion for better performance and faster recovery. Because the carb is in the drink, you fuel as you hydrate, unlike with gels and solid food.
I don't know why they want me to rate thickness and flavor. Its supposed to be powder thin and have zero flavor and it does. I use it as an anti-caking agent while making spice combinations and its great
Nothing bad to say here but for me again for me i use it pre and post no problem here will use again
Unflavored as I wanted. Me xes well with any homemade powders to stop clumping, this works. What I was looking for.
Any of this type of product taste bad. I cover it up with honey, lemon, grapefruit or lemon squeezing from my trees.
Great product which adds an easy way to get in post workout carbs. Overall it is a great product and a great value.
Does the job. I like the fact that it is not sweet , but it mixes well, and no problem with digestion
great stuff keeps muscle full
This product does not mix well - even when slowly adding it to milk, water, etc. Carbo Pro mixes really well.
