When I adopted my shelter dog, she stunk so badly. Not from un cleanliness but dander/skin allergies from the food she was given. Nutro was recommended. It took a less than a week of a Nutro diet and my gal lost that smell and still has no smell 2 years later. Switched our other of to it as well as no smell has ever been on him. Shiny and healthy coats, happy dogs .
We'd used this in the past with our first dog after a vet recommendation and could really tell a difference which is why we recently switched back to it for our current dogs. Before the first bag was gone I could already see and smell a difference in the dog's coats. We switched from Beneful healthy weight to this Nutro and they seem to like it a lot better. This brand has less crumbs of junk, the kibbles are smaller and definitely a lot less greasy than the beneful or any other name brand or store brands I've ever used. Although the cost is higher, is definitely worth it!!!
My dogs are fairly new on this dog food.I was giving them a very expensive brand and I looked at the ingredients on this one and it's even better than the one I was giving them. And it seems to suit their stomach a lot better. So far, i'm very satisfied with this dog food and the ingredients.
I've been feeding Nutro for decades, they've never had a recall, my boys love it. I can switch from chicken to lamb without having to worry about tummy troubles
My dog loves this food and it keeps her at a healthy weight. It was recommended by our vet when our young dog had tummy issues. She's done wonderful on it for several years now.
I have used Nutro for my pet boxers for many years! Boxers have finicky stomachs and this does not irritate them. It cuts down on stomach gas. At least thats what I have noticed!!
My dogs love this brand and I feel good giving it to them. It consistently shows up on the best store bought kibble lists in its price range. Walmart has a good price for it.
Have been feeding this dog food for over 2 years and my pitbull/husky is doing VERY well with it he's actually gotten a little chubby on it over winter so I have cut back his ration a little bit. His coat is great, doesn't seem to have any allergies to it, he enjoys it enough I can use pieces of the kibble as training treats! When I open the bag it smells wonderful, like something chicken based that I wouldn't mind eating. Watch your dogs weight feeding this, it is a rich food and it can pack on some pounds if too much is fed. The waste (poop) isn't large amounts either, not huge, stinky mushy piles ...that's one of the best things, easy clean up after digestion.
My dogs will actually eat this. And it is what the rescue uses. We've tried several different brands over the years and they seem to enjoy it.
The dog like it and is healthy --- BUT it IS pricey, so while the dog might recommend it, I'd suggest testing a few products and using whatever works for YOUR pup (pup being a matter of playfulness, not age -- Dabo is 7). Even in this brand, he will only eat this flavor --- so when it comes to picky pets, no recommendations other than whatever works for your family!
