NYX Cosmetics Hot Singles Eye Shadow Sin

I've got pale, cool-toned skin with asymmetrically-hooded, slightly-crepey (30s) eyelids... and the shade "stiletto" is the PERFECT daily one-and-done matte for me. It reads as a muted, dusty (but not powdery), mauve-y peach. Dark enough to give some depth, light enough to be super forgiving and blendable, opaque enough to color-correct for purplish veins. I also apply it below the lower lash line for subtle definition. It's been my go-to for 5 years now. Can I also say, regarding the Hot Singles shadow line more generally... it has been AMAZING having the option to buy ONLY THE INDIVIDUAL SHADES I KNOW I'LL ACTUALLY USE. Palettes are cute, but they're 95% useless for folks with eyes like mine (and we are legion lol). With palettes, I was gazing dejectedly at a whole range of unflattering shades every time I reached for the flattering *one* (or two at best). With singles, I'm buying yearlong supplies of my favorite shades, and occasionally trying new ones that look promising. If NYX stops selling soft matte singles like Stiletto, I'll probably transition to ULTA's single shadows instead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been loyal to the Pixie color because it has the perfect shimmer pink/peach tone that highlights my amber/hazel eyes against a pink - white skin tone. It is extremely hard to find neutral yet hip colors for my skin tone. Don't stop making it !!

I thought I had plenty of NYX eyeshadows and tried a few others. Nothing compares anywhere. Mattes are perfection. I guess I will have to get them all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the eyeshadow and blush and a liner this year to do my makeup for Halloween. It was perfect! Had a lot of fun and it stayed in all night. Loved it!

I'm very pleased with how wonderful NYX shadow is! I'm always hesitant on venturing out, but needed something more affordable with the same result. These eyeshadows blend well and are gorgeous! I bought seven and can't wait to buy more! If you want something with the quality of a higher end, more expensive makeup, this is it!

Best white I have found in a long time....matte and not chalky.

I liked the shades i picked out ( i bought 2 : damage control and arrogance), but they took a while to build up color, arrogance shows up more grey but I'll have to try layering over a brighter base color than damage control. But overall i liked the way it looked on.

I purchased three products: Diamond Lust, Raven, and Psychedelic. I'm very pleased with the first two (a white with soft shimmer and a matte black): the pigmentation and durability throughout wear are top-line. However, I tried several methods to get the color-payoff from the third product (applying it over a primer potion, over foundation, and over a white pencil base) with little success. I really wanted a neon color that would be as vibrant as the name implied. Overall, I'm happy with my NYX experience and would order more of this product.

It doesn't stay on well. takes allot of time to put on. They changed their formula.

I've tried a few different shades, and they were all so dry with hardly any pigmentation. Felt like I wad putting pure talc on my eyelids and I could barely get any color to show up, even over primer.
