NYX Professional Makeup A Bit Jelly Gel Illuminator 0.53 oz

I bought this maybe two weeks ago in the shade luminous. I thought it was pretty, but once I actually used it on my face it was gorgeous. I use it when I'm doing very minimal makeup as a light dewy highlight so I still shine, or when I'm doing a full face over a highlight. It doesn't make a powder cakey even if you put it over powder. It's definitely worth it.

Smooth application. Love the jelly texture. Dries smooth not tacky or sticky. Beautiful color, holographic shift and just the right amount of sparkle.

First of all, I'm super concerned with all the reviews of people putting this on their lips. It is NOT a lip balm or lip topper. This is a highlighter. Personally, I wouldn't put it anywhere near my lips. It's not like sparkly lip toppers are hard to come by, just buy a gloss. That said, it's a great highlighter. I picked up the shade "luminous" a while back and really enjoyed it's unusual opalescent shine and the jelly texture is fun. The shine does come from mostly glitter-but he glitter is very fine. It's dramatic, but with a light application I think it works for everyday if you like a bit of drama. It is best applied by hand. I like to dab some on and then feather it out with a blush brush. Make sure you close the jar after use. Unfortunately, I left mine open and by the time I noticed it was completely dried out. Oops!

It's ideal for collar bones as it's full of glitters. But I would not use it on my cheek bones and it's too glittery for cheek bones. Another use case of this product is dotted touch up on lower eye lids

I just got this in the shade luminous and it feels really nice of the skin,and the texture is fun and makes it easy to apply. Only downside is I wish it was more of an actual champagne color because the blue glitter gets very overpowering and it looks too glittery and not champagne at all.

I don't normally write reviews. I wanted a “glow” affect just for my cheekbones really since I'm not wearing fondation. and I wanted the possibility of putting it under or with my fondation on the odd day to have more of a dewy look. If this is what you're looking for do not get this. I got the bronze one and it's just specs on silver glitter inside of gel. It looks like pixie dust and I got it all over my face when I wanted it only on my cheeks. It's not opaque enough to be used as an eyeshadow and it's not liquid enough to be mixed with any creams or fondations, in my opinion. It would be a great body glitter or for parties. Just not my vibe for the day to day. I want to glow not sparkle. I'll try again another time but for now, I'm not too fond.

I bought this about a month ago. The feeling of it is quite slimey and doesn't feel good on the skin. In the photos on the website it looks like a gold coloured highlighter but it's really clear with blue and green sparkles, which just doesn't work with my skin tone. Would be cute for a rave or EDM concert but definitely not for everyday use. When applied to the skin, the product felt very sticky and just sat on top.

Used it once (and liked it, but lost half the product in my makeup bag with the lid on. What a mess! Turns out the lid cracked the first time I opened and closed the package.
