Gorg colour! My skin is light olive, and it shows up quite well on me. You do need a hearty dusting. The only disappointment is the staying power - after 2-3 hours that beautiful iridescence is gone. I now put another highlighter underneath to "fall back on" once the duochrome wears off. This is with a primer/powder foundation base. Still worth the price for a fun and different look!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Listen up, people. Moon Child tried. Alchemist tried. But NYX hit a home run here. And for the price point, I bought three of them! I don't even touch my other highlighters anymore. I wanted the glowiest, pearliest, prettiest pink highlight for my wedding, and a combo of Snow Rose and Crushed Bloom are it! Super excited to wear them on the upcoming big day.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought three of these around a month ago. Twilight Tint, Lavender Steel and Snow Rose. Oh my god are these gorgeous. I've been using them consistently every day and I don't think I'll hit pan for at least a full year or more. These highlighters are true duochrome, I think my favorite is Twilight Tint because of the blueness that reflects off the white. I've even combined these colors and the effect is RIDICULOUSLY amazing. You can also put them on as eyeshadows, on top of lipsticks, or just as a blush on your entire cheek. I will definitely rebuy if I ever run out, and I plan on buying the other two colors, Crushed Bloom and Synthetica. I like how these are powders, these last really long even when my face gets oily. If NYX somehow made these into lipsticks I think my life would be complete.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this highlighter mostly as a blush and I love it! The color is to gorgeous without being obnoxious. Of alll the expensive blushes and highlighters I have, this is definitely my go-to.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the duo chromatic hilight in 3 different colors and I am so in love, they are easily comparable to Kat Von D's Alchemist palette, if not better (and you get more for your money!!!)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I have: Lavender Steel, Snow Rose, and Twilight Tint. I'm light skinned (switch between Light and Light Medium of the MSF) and these 3 all apply wonderfully! I'm able to keep it light or build it up to be more noticeable. The duo chromatic nature of the product is really what draws me in; like with the Twilight Tint, at first it can look just like a normal highlighter but then the light hits it and you get the pop of blue which really sets it apart from a normal highlighter. Would love to get the last 2 colors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the snow rose, lavender steel, and twilight tint. I love these highlighters they are perfect for the duochromatic look at a better price point than some of the luxe brands. I'm pretty fair skinned and snow rose is a perfect every day highlight. Lavender steel has more of a purpley-pink to it which is gorgeous but not necessarily every day wear to work look. The twilight tint has very small pieces of glitter in it and I returned that one.. the color was gorgeous but the glitter.. not so much for me.
I absolutely Love this highlighter! It is the only one I am reaching for in the morning when I'm doing my makeup. I think it ranks up there with some of the high-end highlighters. Ive even convinced my sister to try it and she loves it! Highly recommended!!!
Love using Twilight Tint right below the brow line and inside corner of my eyes, the more neutral shade just on the cheek bone and top of my nose. Can blend in for a subtle day look or 'stamp' on with a brush for more dramatic results. I wouldn't describe it as complicated to use but I will say that it does take some getting used to how to apply and since its usually used at the end of the make-up routine 'fixing' the illuminating powder can be more difficult...it took me several attempts to put it on good enough to leave the house and seems I'm continuously learning more techniques and ways to apply each time I use it - the more I use it, the more I love it!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blue color was subtle yet buildable. Not the most natural yet that was not the goal with a blue highlighter.
