O-Cedar Dual-Action Flip Mop

Let me start of by saying, I LOVE to clean. I have two small children, and two older children. I cook a lot. We are in the kitchen a lot, so there are always crumbs, spilled food, drink spills and messes on my dining room and kitchen floor. My teenager daughters friends tease me, because they say I am always cleaning the floors. In actuality, I clean the floor after every meal and since they eat over, sometimes, they see me cleaning the floor, after meals. I am literally, constantly cleaning my tile, to try and keep it clean. Up until now, I have been on all fours, cleaning the floors, by hand. I haven't owned a mop in a very long time. I have always done it by hand, because I have felt like I could clean the floors better by hand. I wasn't sure what to expect, when I got this, but I can tell you, that I feel in love, after just one stroke. You can use this mop wet or dry. I have used it both ways. I can't tell you how easy it is, to clean my floors now. I mostly use it, as a dry sweeper, to clean up crumbs and messes, off my floor, and under the table. But, I have also used this, several times, wet. It cleans great, either way. When using as a dry sweeper, I was surprised how well this caught, even the smallest crumbs. I have high ceilings, and I have even been able to use this to clean cobwebs off the ceiling. My husband teases me, that I love this sweeper so much, but it is true. I have even been able to get my little ones to help out, with the floors, because they think it is fun to use it to try and clean. It easily flips from sweeper side, to the smooth side. The cloth is thick and durable and easy to remove, if wanting to clean it. It is very durable and a great product, for the price.

This flip mop works great on hardwood floors as well as tile. I use it a few times a week for sweeping my wood and tile floors on the chenille side. On the microfiber side I dampen it with water to clean the floors. It’s made for sweeping or deep cleaning floors without using chemicals. I didn’t believe it would clean with just water but it does pick up dirt quite nicely. I haven’t used it yet on really dirty grimy floors with floor cleansers. The mop heads can be detached for washing in machine or by hand up to 100 times. The cloth is attached to the mop by Velcro so it’s easy to remove and re-attach. The mop heads are longer and wider than my old mop therefore making cleaning my floors easier and faster.

This O CEDAR dual action MOP & SHINE flip mop is GREAT, CONVENIENT, USEFUL, QUICK! Very lightweight, it's wonderful for those who want a fast cleanup and especially good for those with bad backs. With its long 18" width & 4' long handle, it makes the work much faster & easier. Use the fluffy, soft blue side to "sweep" the area and the microfiber striped side to mop. It flips over easily~sweep~flip~and mop. This eliminates the need to get the sweeping done, then fill a bucket, etc. It removes a step, making it so much easier to get a floor done. It handles a large area quickly with very little strain. It's very quick and easy. It is PERFECT for wood floors & ceramic tile floors, as well as vinyl. My bathroom floor was swept & mopped in less than 10 minutes! WHAT'S COOL also, is that it can sweep vertically...along baseboards, walls, etc. That is truly a BIG PLUS! I WISH I had this mop when I had 2 brand new homes with a huge amount of white ceramic tiles in 1 home and a large amount of wood flooring in the 2nd home. This would have been just PERFECT for those areas which were in the entry, foyer & continuing into the home~which were always in need of cleaning. It would have been a lot easier w/this mop. The soft blue side can be used just to quickly "shine up" the area even when no time to mop. EASY TO CLEAN! One side has a fastener to remove it. Just hand or machine wash & dry flat. 'Put mine in the sun and it was dry in no time. It also has a cloth tab at the top to hang the mop. O Cedar thought this through well, making it so useful, convenient and easy. Refills are available. Safe for ALL floors. I am VERY IMPRESSED with this mop. My only regret is that I didn't have it when I had the larger homes with tiles and wood. I really needed it then. You'll be happy with it!

I absolutely love, love, love this mop. This makes the third one I have owned over the years. I just keep purchasing the same one. I usually keep two at a time. One for dust mopping and one for wet mopping. I have hard wood floors and this is the BEST mop to care for and keep the floors looking new. When the mop head gets dirty you can just throw it in the washer and it comes out looking new. The mop head is heavy duty and lasts a long time. I still have my two when I received this free one. It has a very wide head that cleans larger areas at a time than most mops. The handle is longer than most also for a far reach. Works VERY well if you use a product like a floor shine as it spreads it very well. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone with hardwood or tile floors.I use the blue stringy side for dusting and the flat side for mopping. Very good product!

I love this O-Cedar Dual-Action Flip Mop, by far this mop/broom has been wonderful. Works well with hardwood floors and tiles. I wanted something that could cover a good amount of floor in a short amount of time. This definitely does the job. I've been using the blue side to sweep all the dust, dirt, and hair first. Doing my hair in the bathroom especially with blow drying there is hair all over. I use the blue side of the mop for a quick clean up, the hair is disappears in no time. Then I get the white side wet and start mopping. Right now due to spring time the amount of dust getting tracked in is high, so I almost feel the mop needs to be washed in the machine and then another pass completed....but I don't think this will be the case forever. Sometimes I use just a bit of water and sometimes a vinegar mix depending on what I am cleaning and how filthy it is the microfiber does a really good job! Overall I am very happy with this product for, I really like that I can have the broom and mop all rolled into one convenient tool. Removing the cover and washing is simple as well. The mop is well worth the price.

I did like this mop, and it's because it's more like the old gray style that I have used for years. I have tried the new mop that you use sheets on, and I have been disappointed with their performance. There is also the added expense of buying those sheets, and another piece of garbage in our land fills. Even this mop couldn't hang on to all of the dust and dog hair than the old gray mop, you have to shake it several times while doing the house. What was different was the shine side. Once you have cleaned up all the dust and hair, you wet the mop and flip it over. Now with just the water you can shine up those same floors without dragging a pail of water with you. Yes, I would recommend this to friends and family. This last part was the fact that when finished I removed the pad and threw it in the washing machine and dried it flat as instructed. It dried up nicely and is ready to go again.

I like this mop for dry dusting. It has wide coverage, which is very cool. The fibers seem to hold the dust pretty good. Of course, it doesn’t hold on to crumbs and stuff. It works good on my tile and wood laminate floors. The cloth comes off easily for washing. It is really good for wiping the walls too. I use the fluffy blue side for the floor, and the striped side for the walls. I would not use it wet though. It is too much of a pain to wet it. It will not fit in a bucket, it does not have a sprayer attachment, and I just find it easier to use a regular mop for wet use. It would be cool(and first of it’s kind)to have a removable sprayer attachment. There is a hole in the top of the handle so it can be hung. It rotates too, so it will always sit flat against the wall. The head rotates and flips, so that makes it easy to get a farther reach under tight places. It would be of great benefit to have a second mop head handy. I have one for the floors, and one for the walls.

IT HAS AN ULTRA DENSE CHENILLE SIDE-DRY SIDE- THAT ATTRACTS AND HOLDS DIRT, DUST AND HAIR. THEN IT HAS A MICROFIBER SIDE -DAMP SIDE-THAT CLEANS EFFECTIVELY WITHOUT THE USE OF CHEMICALS. THE HANDLE HAS A HOLE ON THE TOP FOR THOSE OF US THAT LIKE TO HANG OUR MOP/BROOMS ON A HOOK. THE HANDLE IS REMOVABLE - STANDARD SIZE THREADS SO IF YOU HAVE A LONGER HANDLE FOR HIGHER AREAS UNSCREW ONE AND SCREW IN THE OTHER EXTRA EASY. LIGHT WEIGHT AND EASY TO USE. NICE EASY ACTION WITH NO HANG UPS MOVING AROUND BACK AND FORTH AND FLIPPING FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER.THE MOP AREA ITSELF -BOTH SIDES -MEASURE 19 INCHES BY ABOUT 6 INCHES AND THE THICKNESS OF THE PAD IS GREATER THAN I EXPECTED. THE PAD IS EASILY REMOVABLE WITH TWO VELCRO AREAS. 100 TIMES WASHABLE MACHINE OR BY HAND IN WARM WATER. DO NOT USE BLEACH OR FABRIC SOFTNER. NOTHING SAID ABOUT DRYING BUT A SIMILIAR O-Cedar PRODUCT SAYS TO DRY FLAT. UNDER THE PAD IS A HARD PLASTIC BASE ABOUT 5/8 INCH THICK, NICE AND STURDY AND FIND THIS UNBREAKABLE WITH RECOMMENDED USE. THE CHENILLE SIDE OR DRY SIDE PICKS UP DUST -HAIR AND LIGHT DIRT EASILY. I WISH IT PICKED UP MORE. WORKS EASILY LIKE A BROOM (WITHOUT THE BROOM STROKES) AND WITH BETTER RESULTS, I LIKE IT. THE MICROFIBER SIDE OR DAMP SIDE DOES JUST FINE. I USED A SPRAY BOTTLE AND FOUND A QUICK EASY CLEAN UP. I WILL NOT BE GETTING READY TO GET RID OF MY STEAM CLEANER BUT WITH THIS DUEL ACTION MOP I WILL NOT HAVE THE NEED TO BRING IT OUT AS OFTEN AND THAT IS JUST FINE WITH ME.

The O-Cedar Dual-Action Flip Mop claims to be a damp/dry, all-surface mop. However, when I read the word 'mop', I assumed I could immerse the mop head in water or at the very least soak it with a mixture of water and cleaner, then go about wiping my tile floor with it. The directions do not suggest this. Rather it suggests using the mop to sweep and shine. The directions also state that the mop can be used dry on the chenille side in order to dust. The mop can be used damp (it does not say wet) on the microfiber side to clean without chemicals, just water. With the directions in mind, I adjusted my plan to soak the mop, and simply dampened it with watered down antibacterial spray. Sorry, I am compulsively anti-germs in a house with two young kids, therefore I did stretch the suggestion regarding water only to clean. From my experience, the mop is light weight and easy to maneuver on my tile floor--it has a nice swivel action. The damp microfiber side did wipe up dirt with one swipe, but deeper stains were harder to clean as there is no crevice tool on the super soft mop head. Since the mop head is very soft, I had no worries about it scratching the tile or using it on wood furniture for dusting. It has hook on the handle, making it easy to hang for storage. The mop pad is reusable and can be washed in a machine. It is easy on/off with hook and loop closures. I still am not sure if this is a mop or a duster. It really can't do deep cleaning with such a soft mop head, and it does not scrub, it wipes. The handle is cheap and it became unscrewed while being used vigorously. I will use this for touching up the kitchen, but I will use my traditional sponge mop for the big jobs. My 6 old daughter asked to 'help' me mop, and she handled it well. She noticed as I did that it is very soft and doesn't really get rid of all the dirty spots on the floor. Of course, I won't point out that she made many of those spots!

This flip mop was neat at first because it actually flips between the microfiber bristles and the smooth cloth. However, it's good for a dusty or sandy floor, but not for a messy kitchen cleanup. I would rather use a broom and dustpan. If you had hardwood floors throughout the house, then this would work perfectly for you! It picks up dust and dirt just fine but then still have to use dust pan to pick up excess. I only used it in my kitchen and for spills and messes, I'd rather use a wet jet swiffer mop.
