What I didn't like was that the unit I received required me to update 5 software files and the unit did not come with a hard copy of the manual. Normally this would be a minor inconvenience, however, in the Hurricane IAN structure, we do not have internet. I had to drive 20 miles to download at a nearby Xfinity store. I asked tech support for a hard copy and they said no. The lack of a manual meant that I had to search for answers in the system.
Very easy to use. Bought to do a manual regen on a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter. It allows for a drive regen. Could not figure out how to perform a stop regen.
This machine seems to work as it is supposed to and works better than my other machines. It's ease of use and features are higher than other much more expensive scanners.
I am a self-employed mechanic and I have a mobile mechanic service that does everything I need to do.
It's easy to use on my Mercedes-Benz, but it's broken to pay the store to do it.
Bought to be able to check and repair the newer modern cars I own, does quite a bit and helps me maintain my vehicles. You need one of these to do that because the newer cars are electric and simply troubleshooting is time consuming and this comes in handy for me.
Great product, worked on my Acura TL 2010, reset my throttle body, reset the computer, and plan to reprogram one of my keys. I love the hard case and the system is constantly updated.
Not a mechanic. Used car dealer. This equipment took me back to school. Learned more than I thought I would. It doesn't diagnose all cars, but it's still good. Try it.
After purchasing from Walmart online, I read reviews about the software updates that are mandatory and they will add up to the price of the scanner very fast. Also reviews that I read said the scanner will not work without updates. It might be a great diagnostic tool if it had free upgrades and it's been a week and I'm still waiting for my money for the return of the product.
Bought this for a friend of mine and I charged it for him and when he opened it and started to read about it, you have to purchase the updates after one year. We both agreed you spend this much on a piece of equipment, the updates should be free. Needless to say, he never used it. It does have a good protection case.
