As expected. Relatively strong. Correct color. Smell appropriate. Nothing lacking...except maybe resealable packaging.
#Trynatural I was excited about trying Oceans Halosushi nori seaweed sheets. Knowing that it is full of vitamin B12 and is organic and vegan . I decided to add the sheets to my veggie stir fry. It gave the stir fry a unique taste that everyone was trying to figure out what it was and were surprised when I told them what it was. Made our stir fry even better. #gotforfree
I was pretty pleased with Ocean's Halo Organic Sushi Nori sheets. They were fresh, crispy and not too salty...just perfect for making maki rolls. I really appreciated that they were made with organic sustainable farmed seaweed. Also appreciated that there were no preservatives or msg. Good nori does not need flavorings or msg added. It has enough umami on its own.
Tonight was my first time making Sushi!!! And let me tell ya, it was extremely easy to make and the seaweed sheets were so easy to use, I did toast them a bit more. This is probably the best sample I have received ever received! Easy to use and the taste is amazing!!!!!!!
I loved these sushi nori sheets! I made sushi and sashimi with them and they wrapped up nicely and were delicious. I bought more and use them in everything...soups, noodle bowls, as great additions to several of my fave recipes. They are very flavorful and not the brittle dry texture of others I have tried in the past. I highly recommend them!
I liked the idea of making my own sushi, but ACTUALLY doing it isn't my cup of tea. It's just better when someone else makes it for you... these turned out pretty good, but a little more on the difficult side. Would recommend to someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to diy sushi.
Although the products were hard to find in the area where I live. When I finally found the sushi sheets, I was not disappointed. I chopped them up and added to some sweet and sour soup. Yummy. Then I added some to some stir fry. Fantastic. If you can find it, buy it.
Organic Sushi Nori is okay, it's not the best seaweed product I've ever tried. If you like chewy seaweed, you probably will like it. Tastewise, it's not as flavorful as some other kinds of seaweed. But it's organic and natural, which is good for our health.
I purchased mine from our Walmart store. We make sushi and onigiri fairly often and we wanted to try a new brand that was inexpensive. However, the second this nori touched the rice, it turned into chewy rubber. We've never had sushi nori that did this before. Disappointed.
I was really excited to try the Ocean's Halo Organic (miso) Noodle Bowl. The cooking process in the microwave was very easy. The only issue I ran into was that there were no instructions regarding when to add the tofu packet in the cooking process. At one point the broth boiled over the bowl in the microwave, but I did as instructed and stopped, waited, and began again. The noodles were a bit chewy and I did not care for the flavor of the broth. Perhaps my taste pallet is not sophisticated enough or I am simply not accustomed to the miso flavor. In any case, I did not care for it and would probably not recommend this product to a friend.
