Birthday gift for my 5 year old daughter, she loves it! Need to add another 10 bags of sand, we put 14 in there but it's not deep enough. All in all about $150 spent between the box, sand and toys. Sturdy frame for smaller children to sit on. The tarp collects rain but we also place a large plastic tarp on top of it to ensure no water gets in the box. A good buy and hours of fun for your child.
Bought the 6.5' x 6.5' box for our daughter. It was easy to put together and our daughter loves it! We really like that it came with a cover. We read the reviews and people said they filled it with 300-500lbs so we bought 500lbs of sand. That was not enough sand for us. It was enough sand to layer the bottom. We ended up putting 950lbs of sand in order to make it an actual sand box. Great sand box especially for the price. But I do suggest at least 800lbs of sand.
The instruction is clear and the design is clever, so, easy to assemble. I think if the instruction can describe how to locate the seat on the sandbox, it will be better. I like the seats attached to the sandbox because it can cover the corner of the sandbox, so, children won't be hurt by the corner. By the way, it's big and I used 10 bags of play sand, each one is 1/2 cu ft.
Great price of $75 ish, cover stays on in wind, good looking wood, make sure you put a big tall bucket or something to prop up cover before you put it on so rain doesn't pool. It recs to just lay the wood on top of the tarp on bottom, but better to use a staple gun, and staple it in, esp on uneven ground in case of sand leakage. Also it rec'd 500 lbs of sand, it could use more, but not sure wood would hold.

Really easy to build. Frame holds up well with a lot of sand. Cover falls into sandbox with lots of rain, however placing upside buckets or balls helps tent the cover. Great size for little kids. Nice wood seats for adults to sit and play.
Very nice sandbox, its very large and holds the sand great we used about 8-10 50lbs bags of sand to fill it up the bottom cover and the top cover is useless l brought plastic to put underneath and purchased another cover to keep the top covered.
We purchased this sandbox for our 2 year old to use in the back yard. I love that it came with a black fabric mat which we stapled to the base and that it came with a cover. It was fairly easy to put together, light enough to carry outside. We placed 5 50lb bags of sand in it and will most likely add 2 more. It will be perfectly for our little guy to play in.
This is a great attractive, inexpensive, and easy to put together sandbox. It is large enough for a few small kids to play together. Only gave it four stars because the cover is a little flimsy, but not bad. I will likely add another tarp over top for the winter as we're in a harsh climate with lots of snow.
