I'll have to admit I was a little skeptical at first but this product really does eliminate odors. I first tried it after frying chicken which is a smell that normally hangs around awhile but with the Odor Genie; there was no cooking odors after 30 minutes. And although, the Odor Genie has a strong smell when you pull off the label; once it sits out the Lavender Vanilla smell dissipates and the charcoal in the Odor Genie absorbs the offending odors instead of just covering them up. Unlike burning candles which just masks the cooking odors this product actually removes the odors. I also used this in a small single car garage where we have a small boat to remove gasoline odors and the Odor Genie removed those odors as well. The Odor Genie lasts up to 60 days and can be used in rooms as large as 300 square feet. It works on a variety of odors including: Smoke, Car, Paint, Solvents, Gasoline, Car, Pets, Food, and Musty Odors. I just wished that the Odor Genie had a replaceable plastic cover so that I could cover it between uses. At the moment, I reapply the label over the top until the next time that I need to use the Odor Genie.
the wild berry odor genie smells so so good. I placed it in our powder bath behind the toilet to insure that the bathroom always has a fresh scent. I only tore off a corner because the smell was pretty strong (I could smell it before i even opened the package. As the smell fades I plan to tear the remainder of the top off.
After discovering that some areas of my home had a notable musty odor and evidence of possible mildew, the DampRid Odor Genie was perfect to get rid of the mustiness of the air and leave the rooms smelling fresh and clean. The package is small and discreet, allowing it to be easily placed in the corner of a counter or wall. Also, the Odor Genie doesn't have any large labels, stickers, or visible instructions to make it look out of place in any room of the house. Furthermore, the “lavender vanilla” scent is very nice, and the Odor Genie's scent isn't too overpowering for my home. The air seems significantly less damp around my Odor Genie, and this may be attributed to the product's charcoal material. While the charcoal in the product causes it to have a strange appearance and texture, it has been very beneficial in absorbing the foul odors of my home. Having tried other air fresheners in the past (with mixed success), this product lasts much longer than other air freshening products, and the Odor Genie is supposed to last sixty days. The Odor Genie is also very versatile, as it can be placed anywhere from a bathroom or kitchen to an RV or car. All in all, this product has been very successful in removing musty odors, and it has been a great solution for my home!
I received the item, and removed the seal as instructed. I did not like the scent of it at all and felt it was overpowering. I placed it on a shelf in the storage room of my basement. The house is 70 years old and that part of the basement has a damp, musty odor. After a couple of day, the musty odor was almost completely gone! And the scent from the product sitting on a shelf is very light and pleasant. This product would work well in closets, cars, RVs, any place that may have an odor. I am very pleased with it!
I use this odor eliminator in my closet. I think it works pretty well. The deodorizer has a nice scent. I can sometimes smell the scent of berries even with the closet closed. It's easy to use. You just tear off the top and plop the container in the bottom of the closet. I wish the scent was a bit stronger. I don't always smell it when I open the closet, which makes me wonder if it's working. The closet doesn't smell stale, but it doesn't smell super fresh either. Ultimately, the closest doesn't stink, so I suppose the odor eliminator is doing its job.
I love to have my car smelling good. There's nothing like a nice smelling car when you first get into it. It helps also while the car is in use and there's a foul odor that enters thru the vents from the outside like waiting at a stop light behind a diesel, passing a dairy farm (PU) or getting a whiff of a skunk in the area (double PU). The Odor Genie is a large disk of sweet smelling lavender and vanilla which wafts thru the air in the car and eliminates odors that linger in the car. The second I took off the decal label the car began smelling sweeter and fresher. I put my Odor Genie underneath my seat as it's big enough to just sit on the floor without flipping over. Even though I could smell the scent, it's not a strong scent that will overtake everything like a strong cheap perfume. It's a slight scent that gently drifts throughout the car. Now, I live in the hot desert southwest of Arizona, so I'm curious as to how long the scent lasts in the heat of the summer. Even in the shade a car can heat up to extreme heat so I'm wondering how long the Odor Genie will last during the summer.
This product works pretty well, it's nice and strong. I used it around stinky garbage and it definitely masked the smell. You just have to peel back the sticker and set it where you want it. The scent isn't my favorite though. It kinda smelled a bit nauseating when it was mixed with the smell of the garbage. Still better than nothing though. I haven't had it long enough to tell if it lasts for as long as it says, but it seems like it will. Seems quite useful if you put it in an area that has a permanent smell that you would want to mask. I might want to try one of the other scents to see if I like it better.
The product all low all five or expired expiration date some of the date we're back in 2021. I'm disabled that's why I order online how am I to get this back to you and I can't come to the store. What am I to do in order for me to send it back that means me dealing with the post office. What am I to do
I opened it and it smelled for about a minute or so then I no longer smelled it. I checked it's date and it's expired.
If i could given it a zero I would. It came melted and Idk if its pieces of lavender or mold inside. The best by date was March 2025 it will be June 1st tomorrow. This seller is obviously selling not good stuff.
