Assembly instructions and identification of parts was great and helpful. Alignment and engineering was marginal, difficult to line up all the bolts with appropriate washers and holes. Tools provided are less than average, recommended a socket set or wrenches - took approximately 3 hours to assemble. Packaging was horrible.... Rim punctured base in two spots making it difficult to fill and net loop holder broke off withing minutes of playing. All in all, with patience during assembly, it worth the low price point
The backboard is VERY thin. It's only 3/16" thick, which offers POOR surface for ball to rebound off of. After proper assembly and less than 2 hours of play, the backboard developed stress /Fatigue cracks in numerous places at the attach point for the rim. The rim mount bolts were NOT overtightened and the goal was NEVER "Dunked" on. The backboard comes pre-assembled attached to the frame. It is VERY poorly assembled. Edges or backboard aren't trimmed evenly with frame, welds are only "Tacked" and not fully welded. After being properly assembled, the main support pole from the base to the goal has excessive lateral movement. The bearing for the height adjustment crank handle is NOT a sealed bearing and by design is completely exposed once assembled and WILL be exposed to the elements at ALL times and being made of unfinished carbon steel, WILL become rusted if not CONSTANTLY lubricated. It is an overall cheap goal with very low quality control during manufacturing. It would probably be a good goal for children, but would be a VERY poor choice for adult use. I returned it, and spent additional money to purchase a higher quality product.
everything on it works good just the fact that the base cracked within 3 days of having it or it came broken and I didn't notice. it won't flip over due to the design and as long as you put a couple blocks on that bad boy as well. I just should have paid the extra $40 to 50 bucks and got the NBA Spalding one.
This seems to be a great quality goal; however, we're having problems assembling due to ill fitting parts. The pre-drilled holes are not aligning with the parts. We have made it to step 12 just to be completely unable to finish. There were ill fitting alignments at 8, but we were able to get resolved.
the worst thing i have ever put together. modt of thr homes didnt line up and I had to take a drill to make the holee larger. the wherl was cracked upon delivery and the base leaks water. of course you dobt realize this until you are finished putting it together and then come to realize it wont stay up due to the leak. worst quality product ive ever purchased. stay away!
DONOT BUY THIS GOAL!! If you want a good goal don’t order from offline at Walmart. Go in a store. Because my goal one of the parts is messed up and they can’t send you out a replacement part. The part that helps you lower it or raise it doesn’t not fit. It was one of the last steps and I got all the way through and it does not fit so now even though it was a Christmas gift I have to have them pick it up and get my refund because who is to say the next one won’t have the same issue. Waste of time.
hello we put the goal together bout a week ago after coming back in town from vacation the bottom of the goal has a whole in the bottom were u cold put water or sand in it also the rim has bent how will i get another one or do i just ren=turn to any walmart store?
Cracked base. Missing screws. Poor instructions. The adjustment screw has weld on two places where it needs to screw in. Which leads you to a 20 minute call with Customer Service where as the supervisor pretends he can't hear you. Do yourself a favor and PASS ON THIS ITEM.
Item came damaged and unusable, Box looked liked it had been ripped apart and poorly taped back together Broken and has to be returned and disappointed kids at Christmas. Zero stars if I could
Item delivered broken. After being assembled, I found out the base was broken and incapable of retaining water. To get a refund, I need to dissemble and send it back. It is a lot of time consumption. I need another solution.
