I currently own two of these cameras and have integrated them with Blue Iris software, which has proven to be simple and highly reliable. The streaming rate is sufficient for achieving 15 fps on both the main and sub streams. The image quality during the day is excellent, while at night, it appears to be good initially, but there's a significant caveat: the clear static picture you see at night is achieved by heavy smoothing of the pixelated image. This becomes evident when there's any movement in the field of view at night, resulting in acomet" effect with a blob for the face and a blurry tail. I attempted to adjust the amount of 3D and 2D smoothing through the web interface to capture realistic motion in the dark, but I had to compromise on image quality to the extent that the pixelation and digital noise rendered the image unusable. Long exposure mode showed potential, but I encountered challenges with the camera switching between night and day mode, leading to overexposure during daylight hours. Interestingly, the IR illumination seemed to worsen the image quality instead of improving it, so I opted to turn it off. It's worth noting that the camera is positioned in an area with four garage night lights illuminating the driveway it monitors, so the underperformance in low light conditions is somewhat disappointing. However, the second camera, which is positioned under a street light, performs better at night, suggesting that the IR from the street lamp aids its performance (unlike the LED garage lights, which likely lack in the IR range). Therefore, if you choose to stick with these cameras, it may be beneficial to add a dedicated IR illuminator over the area it monitors. During daylight, these cameras excel, and the microphone functions well. My only wish is that the firmware included field curvature correction, as the wide-angle lens results in distortion at the edges of the field of view. Unfortunately, such features are not typically available at this price point. Overall, I find these cameras to be satisfactory and would recommend them to users of Blue Iris software.

Encountered a little hiccup C the system wouldn't operate on Cat 5 wiring. I had initially run separate Cat 5 wiring behind the walls during the building construction for a cleaner job. However, as the cameras are POE, the wire had too much voltage drop to stay online. I circled back and used the provided wiring, and voila, the cameras are working seamlessly now.

Having some CAT5/6 (network) installation experience, the install was relatively easy for me. I chose to run CAT6 riser cable instead of using the provided CAT5e. The NVR recognized the cameras immediately. Regarding Power Over Ethernet (POE), I made a mistake thinking that the power from the NVR over CAT6 would be sufficient for two cameras connected to a secondary 4-port POE switch. The cameras didn't work until I provided power to the secondary switch. Recognizing this was likely an amateur mistake on my part, but now everything works great.

Decided to give this camera a try with our 4K / 16 camera Q-See Presidio recorder as the original cameras are hard to find. Currently have 4 of these cameras installed. While this camera isn't an exact match, it's worth noting that many Q-See features aren't available when configuring this camera. For instance, the original camera supported 30 frames per second at 4K and had a people counting function in the recorder, and the stream encoding differs slightly. However, if you're simply looking to replace or add cameras to a Presidio system and only require basic motion detection recording at 4K 15 frames per second, these cameras seem to be functioning well.

In terms of affordability and simplicity of installation, I believe this camera is an excellent choice. Its wide viewing angle is impressive, and the accompanying app is straightforward to navigate. I consistently choose to purchase these cameras because they offer exceptional value for the price.

I installed three of them around the house, cantilevered along the roof and hardwired to the PoE switch in the office below. The settings may be a bit clumsy, but each camera has its own network user interface to change the settings, so as long as you can find the IP address assigned to the camera, you can log in and manage it. For a camera priced at $90, the quality is very good. I stored the recording on my Synology NAS, which has licenses for two cameras, so I had to purchase a third license. Working is very charming. In summary, I recommend these cameras as a cost-effective and high-quality choice for deploying cameras around homes or small businesses.

hard-drive kept showing no hard-drive detected. checked connections and same issue. replaced hard-drive (we already had one) with our own. new hard-drive working. NVR refuses to record at night. Contacted customer service several times (been over a week) no response.
