easy installation, these cameras have very good night vision.
Initially, I encountered some frustrations with my old and unreliable camera system, which ultimately led to its failure. Consequently, I embarked on a search for a replacement, carefully evaluating numerous options before settling on this particular system. Upon initial setup and usage, I encountered a few issues that left me feeling dissatisfied. Specifically, I found the motion detection to be overly sensitive, detecting even the slightest movements such as bugs flying by the cameras. Additionally, I experienced some minor challenges with connectivity and accessing the system remotely from my laptop. However, I am pleased to report that my opinion of this system has undergone a significant transformation. Despite the initial hiccups, I have come to appreciate the many strengths of this system. The hardware itself has proven to be reliable and of high quality, with excellent picture quality that exceeds my expectations. Moreover, I have found ways to adjust the motion detection settings to better suit my needs, and I now see it as a valuable feature rather than a drawback. Additionally, with some troubleshooting and guidance, I have successfully resolved the connectivity issues and can now easily access the system from my laptop, which enhances its overall convenience and functionality. In conclusion, while my initial experience may have been less than ideal, I have since grown to appreciate the merits of this system. It has proven to be a worthy investment, offering reliable performance and impressive features that meet my security needs. I am now confident in recommending this system to others seeking a reliable and effective surveillance solution.
I've been setting it up since this morning. Initially, I tried connecting it to the second-tier router, but couldn't configure it. So, I had to connect it to the first-tier router, and surprisingly, I was able to set it up without any issues. It seems to automatically recognize the address, as even when I manually set up router-to-router connection (for me), it didn't work well. Well, it's not a problem since it's a small house! In the future, when I have time, I want to check more functions like viewing from my smartphone via the internet. There are many functions available (I actually wonder if more functions are necessary?), and manual adjustments are possible too, which satisfies me as an enthusiast, and the price is very cheap. Additionally, to physically change the direction of the camera, adjustment of two screws (+ screw and hex screw) is required, which may not have been mentioned in the manual? It's still at this level, but for now, I'm extremely satisfied. Also, I haven't installed it outdoors yet, so I haven't checked the waterproof and night vision capabilities! If there are no further updates, please consider everything to be problem-free.
I purchased the SOOHAO security camera set (4 channels, 1TB HDD, 48V standard PoE, 2 million pixels, with 2 15m and 2 30m extension LAN cables) for installing surveillance cameras at four locations: my home entrance, parking lot, side street, and back door. The main unit is extremely compact and lightweight, fitting easily into the TV rack in the living room, allowing for easy viewing of surveillance footage with simple input switching. I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity of each color image and the reliability of the night vision footage. Installation was effortless using the lightweight and flexible flat LAN cables, and covering the LAN cables with Mall No. 2 mounts securely attached to the exterior wall made for a tidy appearance. Additionally, it was simple to back up important recording data to a USB memory stick.
The setup is easy, and there is stability unique to wired connections, although there is some hassle with cable wiring, it provides reassurance. Furthermore, I am satisfied with the extremely clear and beautiful images. Additionally, it comes with 15m and 30m cables, but I wish there were shorter options available.
Not bad for the price. The manual was not very good and made setup a little difficult. Not sure what else can be said at this point as it is still new and have not seen how well it will last.
Plus: - excellent video quality - excellent system flexibility (e.g. scheduling behavior, setting motion detection, etc) - high quality hardware - responsive support (via email) - good control via the highly graphical app Minus: - mediocre documentation Physical setup was easy. No documentation to speak of in the box and no indication more was available, but there is a fairly complete manual available online. You have to go look for it.
i don't like the fact I can't go see the pricing of the product
Camera quality is very good during the day and pretty good at night. The main complaint is that the camera Auto setting prefers to switch to Black & White even though there is adequate daylight or light coming from a nearby lamp. Also, max framerate is 25 FPS which shows motion blur from fast walking people or cars, making it difficult to identify subjects.
