I have had cats for almost 60 years of my life. A couple of years ago, I discovered ökocat litter. My cats, Misty and Maisie, have been happier with ökocat than any previous litter I've used. It absorbs liquid and odors and does not create a mess. They seem eager to use the litter box because, unlike other litters, it stays cleaner and fresher. Misty is the tortoiseshell; Maisie is the tabby.
I thought okocat was going to be more expensive than clay litter, but was willing pay more for a more environmentally-friendly litter option. Okocat is actually more cost-effective because I don't have to change the litter boxes as frequently. We have four cats, I was going through 20 40# plastic containers of clay litter per year. I am now using just over one of the 11# boxes of okocat/month.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My fur babies love this litter and so do I! My one cat had horrible health complications due to dusty cat litter and now I don’t have to worry about my cats getting sick from it! It’s super easy to scoop, masks the smell, and my cats love it!! I love how it lasts longer than any other cat litter I have ever used!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Supersoft for almost a year. I will never use clay litter again! Super absorbent, minimal tracking, little to no dust and more importantly...less odour! My cat took to it immediately. I also love that it is biodegradable which is extremely important to me. Highly recommend Okocat !!
My three cats luv this Cat litter more than tons of not so long lasting smelly clay and corn based litters. Super soft is: Very soft on our lil' sensitive delicate paws. Mum say's it is plant-based and safe on our butts lol, 99% dust free, less litter on the floor to clean up! No harmful chemicals or funky fragrances, it clumps solid for easy scooping, for 3 cats it is really great for masking odours! Super safe, biodegradable and has none of that sticky horrible grey clay cat litter. For our Cat Mum, she likes the fresh natural, clean wood scent. And the packaging is 100 percent recyclable. And it is easy for All u Kitties to make the Switch over to Okocat Super Soft today! And u will have a Healthier Clean!! And Happy Katz.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our cat, Lucy, is 16 years old and has never been happier! We switched from clay litter to Okocat about one year ago. Lucy used to be miserable because the clay litter would get stuck in the fur in her paws. She would then try to clean her paws in her water bowl which would lead to me mopping the floor! Since our switch to Okocat, Lucy is much happier and I have saved $$ in floor cleaner! Thanks Oko!
My Karma is going on 16. I took him in as a stray in September 2004. When he went to the vet for checkup, shots, and neutering in October, the vet said he was not yet a year old. So I put his birth date as December 15, 2003. So for the past 15 years I have tried most every litter. The only one he refused to use from the gitgo was a pine litter. Some litters had too much dust, some had zero odor control. One, a microfine light litter, made him sick. Seems the litter collected a lot in his paws and hair and he ingested quite a bit during his hygiene routine. That was an expensive vet bill. Over all the years, the litter I used most was Arm and Hammer. Lately, however, probably in the attempt to compete with all the other litters out there, AH became less odor effective, more gluey and harder to scoop, more like concrete, making cement in the corners of his box and on the scoop. THEN I discovered Okocat litter. Super soft was the only type on the grocery store shelf, so I bought it-- 5 months ago and haven't looked back. Yes, the cost is a little more, but there are always coupons available. And, when you consider how much longer it lasts, the cost is greatly reduced. For my 15-pound cat who has the largest litter box available in any pet store, 7 to 10 lbs of Okocat Super Soft outlasts a 40lb box of Arm and Hammer multicat litter. With no scraping, no struggles. Is there a downside? Okay, it is high tracking. But if your cat(s)' litter box is on a hard floor surface, you can do what I do: sweep it up and empty it back into the litter box. The benefits so outweigh the one flaw, that I can't even consider the tracking to be a flaw. After all, nothing is perfect. But Okocat litter comes darn close.
LOVE the item.....INTENSELY disliked the packagingI ordered this item the first time.......and it left HUGE amounts trailing from our mailroom, in the elevator, and finally in my apartment home. OMG....I have pictures and would provide them, if I could figure out how to insert them here. SOOOO, therefore, I definitely hesitated to order another package......it IS EXPENSIVE litter..but I use it for my foster kittens from the Humane Society. So, I decided to give Walmart another try. The second order came....and SOMEONE, Walmart person or maybe the OKO people realized so much litter NOT getting to the customer....but I suspect it was Walmart, WRAPPED THE BOX IN PLASTIC....prior to packaging it to ship. I was IMPRESSED....and hope my next order will be as successful. Like I said, this litter is expensive, and I left a trail probably 1/3 of the box! So, I was a happy customer with the second order....and so were the kittens.! Thank YOU
1/2 the box had came out of the package %26 was all over the inside of the Walmart box - what a MESS!
This used to be the best cat litter you could buy for multiple cats. They recently changed the quality of the product and I had to throw away two full boxes of it due to the changes this company made. It stopped clumping and disintegrates back into the pan when you scoop it, making it useless. I can't stress enough about how this product was great until 3 boxes ago.
