OMGOSHHHHH!!! AUSSIE'S BEST KEPT SECRET!!!! IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR SUPER SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE AND SAW THIS . I CAN'T TELL YOU THE SHARPNESS AND CREAMY TOO. ITS AGED SO WELL. TOLD SISTER ABOUT IT AND ITS ALL WE GET FOR CHEESE. FORGET CABOT, KRAFT, CRACKER BARREL... THIS PUTS THOSE SO CALLED SHARP CHEDDAR TO SHAME. WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!!!!!!! ADDICTIVE.
Old Croc is so superior to Cheddars of most domestic brands. In past, it has been very hard to find in most US supermarkets, so I am delighted to see that Walmart is now offering it- and at a more affordable price too! Old Croc is for people who can appreciate the difference of a gourmet quality product with superb flavor and authentic somewhat crumbly consistency. Best served at room temperature. Perfect for Holidays and casual adult entertaining: cheese board, appetizers, dessert- it pairs well with crackers, many fruits, red wines.
If you love a truly extra sharp cheddar, this is it. You can tell that this cheese has been well aged by the flavor and the little crystals like you find in authentic Parmesano Reggiano. It's that good. There are always at least a few of these in the fridge now. You won't want to run out either, once you taste it.
Our favorite well-aged cheddar cheese. The taste, texture and overall quality is exceptional and consistent. I've not found a better aged cheddar cheese nor have I found a better price than this one. We buy it every week. It's great and we recommend it highly.
This is real Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese. It is aged and it forms crystals that make it gritty but those crystals are flavor pockets. If you have never had real cheese, and you probably haven't if you live in America, give this a try. I eat it by itself, with apples or I do my best to make a charcuterie board, and this cheese is always a part of it!
Very tasty allow it warm up some. Aged Cheddar gets those delicious deep flavor profile and salty crystals development. Rich without being overly pungent. Good stuff can be enjoyed with crackers and drinks, on its own or maybe on an egg and cheese sandwich.
A consistently quality block of cheese, time after time. I have tried other brands of "extra sharp" cheddar cheese in recent months and am left very disappointed by the variation in flavor, mainly from Great Value brand and Cabot brands, where the "extra sharp" cheddar was much closer to a mild cheddar in terms of flavor. This block won't disappoint you like that.
So delicious . Worth it. You can tell this cheese is so different in taste and texture than the big brands. Quality, aged, a bit gritty(in an enjoyable way) it's tangy and sharp. It will be a regular buy! I'd show a pic but it was gobbled up before I had the chance.
Tillamook White Extra Sharp (black package) is the most excellent cheddar when store bought is the only option. Old Croc Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese is my 2nd choice or the Old Croc Mature Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Yellow in any cheese is a dye; an unnecessary artificial ingredient.
Unfortunately I have to say something has changed in the taste and texture. Having purchased this product many times and loving it,now it's not the same at all. This is the second time it's been off, sort of slick on the outside,it was dry before and it crumbled before and the taste isn't right It went from the best, to nearly uneatable. Big let down.
