Old El Paso Mild Red Enchilada Sauce, Meal Prep, 19 oz

In fact, if we're having Mexican, Old El Paso will be a part of the meal, with their refried beans or taco shells or enchilada sauce. I have a chicken enchilada recipe that I've made for years and everyone loves it. It makes a smooth sauce with just the right amount of spiciness and great flavor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made our Sunday night dinner and this sauce was perfect for my twice cooked chicken enchiladas. Its not spicy so this allowed my kids to enjoy it too. I have tried green sauces in the past for this fish but hands down, this red mild sauce was everything. Literally no leftovers after dinner.

Love this sauce....the mild has great flavor for my enchiladas. I accidentally bought the medium and was way too spicy. So make sure you get mild if your like me and can't handle spicy.

This Old El Paso (red) enchilada sauce is indeed mild - the flavor is not overpowering - and there is not too much cumin like some others but it is SO thin it runs right off your enchiladas and because of this, it doesn't do that well on keeping them moist while baking. If they'd just thicken it up a little bit it would be even better. However, if you like just a super thin coating of sauce you might like this a lot.

The recipe changed in like one weeks time!! I use this sauce every time I make stuffed pablano peppers. This last time the sauce was thin and was just like cheep franko American spaghetti-o sauce!! 🤢 very disappointed. Life long customer...gone!!!
