good movie but short i wish it was longer

Good classics type western

"Old Henry" is a beautiful example great movies can be made for a fraction of budget of typical big blockbuster and without top-paid actors. The movie actually benefits from that, adding more of authentic feel to the experience. Good story, acting and cinematography are the key, and the movie delivers all that and more! Sound and music are top notch as well. I agree with previous reviewer (Chris) that Trace Adkins' character should have been more emphasized (if I tried hard to find problems in that movie, that would've been the first and probably the last of them:-) The movie is set in 1906, which is later time frame than most westerns, but it actually adds important beat to the story, explained at the end of the movie. Action slows down just when it needs to, and vice versa. Pace is well balanced. The trailer is well made, but the movie goes far beyond that, which is always nice to see in times when so many movies are actually worse than trailers advertising them. 5 stars for "Old Henry"!

Xmas gift but Delivery was quick

GREAT MOVIE, came on time!!

Good movie keeping my attention from beginning to end. I can't believe I'm saying this out loud but Trace Adkins was under used in this movie. This is a classic old school western movie. Widowed old man just wants to live life in peace and raise his kid and you can tell early on that he has his past that he just wants to leave buried but circumstances prevents him from doing it. He sees trouble rolling in because he can see it approaching from a mile away and tries everything he can to avoid it but can't. Usually I don't buy new release movies unless it's something that I really really want and know its not going to drop in price for a while but I saw this and wanted to wait until it dropped in price (DVD was $12 Blu-ray was $14) but I was totally lured in by the cover and the movie description. I'm glad I did. Watched it as soon as I got home and it kept me hooked from beginning to end. Top notch production quality, well lit, fantastic script, great revel and excellent actors.
