Olfa 18mm Snap-Off Ultra-Sharp

I use the 18mm blades for many things, but one they shine in is cutting down cardboard. ever since our city went to major recycling bins, we fill them up every couple weeks, and to be efficient, I cut down any boxes we get. I have used an old fishing knife, but although sharp, it needs to be sharpened (honed) after every use. These blades just, to steal a phrase, "keep going and going and going"! And although they're designed for snap-off use, I fee about 1.5" out and they will just slide right down through the thickest cardboard. Love them! I have recommended them to many!

Among other tasks, I use the blade to open packages. It smoothly cuts through heavy tapes, without accumulating residue.

Primary use is for cutting up cardboard boxes. Very sharp, and holds its edge longer than other, fancier brands (of which I have several!)

We buy Olfa blades by the 100s. The knock-off brands are cheap so we use nothing but Olfa at Centre Line Signs.

I bought replacement blades after running through the one that came with my Olfa knife. These things are great. I cut old window glazing and caulking away, and the cheap blades if they don't break doing this, are dull in about 2 passes. These olfa blades are sharp, crazy sharp for a long time. And, for being snap off type blades, they don't break, even with ALOT of pressure. I will be buying more soon!
