Olive - The Quiet Man [DIGITAL VIDEO DISC]

This movie is a true Classic. This Anniversary Edition, is even better than the original version. It was re-mastered in High Definition, from the original negative, making a beautiful movie. It is a true Masterpiece, starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara.

This movie has a great cast with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara as the stars. It takes place in Ireland. It is very entertaining and a wholesome movie.

I have wanted to see this movie for a long time and am glad I added it to my John Wayne collection. While a departure from his regular cowboy or soldier character, this role (as in The Searches) I think enables him to portray a more emotionally in depth character. The stellar supporting cast from John Ford's stock of players add to the quality of the film.

I never missed this movie when it came on TV. The price is now more affordable and I'm happy it's in my collection.

This is a wonderful movie from a different time period. It's great family entertainment, other than the extended fight scene near the end of the movie, which is not nearly as violent and explicit as today's movies and shouldn't affect the young ones. The characters are wonderful and the overall texture of the movie is terrific. Its wonderfully directed and I think it should be in everyone's video library who like older, family entertainment. The Walmart S-T-S worked perfectly for me and I received the movie within a week of ordering it, at a fair price when compared to other internet movie outlets. I'm thoroughly pleased with everything.

Maureen O'Hara and the Duke are undeniably sexy and fun in this playful Irish romp. She is fetching and he is manly and adorable. I love this film and the whole story. It was filmed in 1952 on location in the green land of Ireland. I watch it every St. Patrick's Day (it's my birthday present to myself). You will be singing some of the little Irish ditties after watching it...with a smile on your face. It garnered an Oscar for Best Director and one for best cinematography. You will love it! Of all Miss O'Hara's films, she claims this is the one of which she is most proud...and so am I.

My order took some time but the movie was worth the wait thank you.

This is an excellent movie if you enjoy John Wayne and old fashioned values in life...... most of which are not practiced any more and that's too bad. The actual picture size is smaller than my tv screen; but that's a small problem in exchange for good entertainment.78

Haven't seen the movie in years, but the color was superb and the additional extras were informative and added greatly to the value.

I've loved this movie since I was a kid many moons ago. The actors are perfectly placed and the story is compelling. Great price, too!
