GREAT PRODUCT!! We built an indoor riding arena last year and applied two coats of solid color Maximum. The results were outstanding... perfect coverage and cures to a hard, durable finish, and we LOVE the color. We went with Maximum because it's guaranteed for 25 years with two coats and because we had such great results with Olympic toner stain on our barn. My painter had recommended Sherwin Williams, which was more expensive and had no coverage guarantee (why should I trust their paint to last if THEY don't???), but we insisted on Olympic, and we made a believer out of our painter. And OBTW, we've used Olympic Deck Cleaner for years, and it's the only thing that really works on mold and mildew out of all the products I've tried...great prep for any outside staining or painting job. We're sold on Olympic products and wouldn't try anything else at this point.

By far the best deck sealer I've ever used, I only wish I'd tried it years ago could have saved myself a great deal of trouble and frustration. There is no comparison to the rest of the sealer pack Olypic is heads hands and feet superior in every way, from the rich amber color it will render to a cleaned and greying older deck to the absolutely flawless way it easily sprayes on the surface. My outdoor deck area I'd 24' X 60', I can apply this wonderful sealer on in two coats in two hand a half hours, one of which is waiting for the first coat to get tack dry. It penetrates and protects instantly....fabulous sealer!!!!

I am so impressed with this product. The application is easy, clean up is easy. Drying time is exceptionally fast but the look is incredible. I have use many different brands, some tinted and some not but this is the best by a long shot. Good job developing a product that exceeds my expectations.

We bought our house 23 years ago when it was 9 years old and the cedar boards had not been restained. It was a sale on Olympic solid stain that got us to try it that first time and the house "drank" up gallons of stain on that first coat. But the second coat showed us the quality and durability of Olympic solid stains and the house was transformed into a new protected surface. We have not gone back to another product... our fences, decks, expanded house are all regularly protected with Olympic solid stain. We simply have no reason to do a trial with another product!

Great product my deck is 25 year old treated have been using Olympic oil stain for at least 20 years is the best at repelling water, an also gives nice finish. I redcoat about every five years,between coating i clean it with Olympic Deck Wash,keeps it looking good without pressure washing.

I've used only Olympic semi transparent stain on my 27 year old deck and got relatively good results. 3 years ago I belt sanded and power washed the deck before resealing with 8-year Maximum. It was completely dry and appeared to take the stain like previous applications. After only one year, the stain left the surface and the deck turned bear and 30% gray. The wood is no longer water resistant and looks horrible. I don't know where to go from here but I did not want to start over this soon.

We have always been 100% satisfied with Olympic deck, fence & siding stain, having used it on the exterior of our current 150+ year old Nova Scotia wood shingled house and our last one, 200+ years old with perfect results, recoating after 10+ years only because we wanted to change the colour. Five years ago, we had a local highschool art class use 5+ colours of Olympic deck, fence & siding stain to paint our airstream trailer to look like a sheep, still perfect. We painted over layers of old paint on this house ten years ago and it is still looking good. We've painted metal, plastic, concrete .... never disappointed. After my sister used it on her abitibi siding 10+ years ago, still perfect she used the leftover to coat her basement floor - still perfect. So last spring when we wanted to protect our new deck built in 2016 we expected the same quality from Olympic Maximum. We followed directions and applied two coats. What a mess! It has pealed and blistered and scuffed up, looks worse every day and will now have to be scraped off. The deck faces south east, so unless it is meant to be only applied on cloudy days guaranteed not to rain - we do not have these in Nova Scotia - there would be no day any month warm enough outside to apply this stain that it might not possibly get too hot. This stain might work in the shade but definately does not work in an area that gets sun. This is one big disappointment!

I used this product on both my front and back deck less than one year ago. I followed all directions for preparation and used the Olympic deck cleaner after sanding and thoroughly cleaning off my decks. This stain lasted only six months and then started peeling and flaking off due to foot traffic on my back deck. The front deck show signs of wear, however it is covered and does not receive the amount of traffic that my back deck does. Very disappointed, especially after spending so much on the product.

I spent thousands building a brand new deck on the rear of my house last summer, I then used this junk product and it didn't even last a year. It's now starting to flake and peel. Now I have to fix this mess, what a nightmare. In contrast I used a Sikkens stain on my new front porch built at the same time, it looks amazing and is holding up beatifully.

I used a professional deck wash in a gas powered pressure washer to clean and prep deck and waited 24 hours and sanded deck with pro sander and did not apply in sunlight and in high traffic patterns and the top rail sections paint is peeling up send your people that test this product back to the drawing board because this clearly does not work and did not last 1 year.
