Olympic Wood Protector Redwood Semi-Transparent Exterior Wood Stain and Sealer, 1 Gallon

Needed a stain after I pressure washed the fence and this had a 5 year rating and was water clean up. Plus I've always like the Olympic brand and it was reasonably priced.

It's not easy keeping exterior wood products in good condition, especially with exposure to harsh conditions like UV and a lot of rain. However, this product has not let us down. Restored our furniture to a beautiful original-like condition that has so far withstood the elements in addition to imparting a beautiful finish. I wish they made a product like that for me!

This is my first time using this brand for sealing cedar posts. The tint adds a beautiful color to the wood, and it's easy to wipe off hard surfaces it may accidentally drop on as long as you do it quickly. This is cheaper than other products I've tried in the past, but the end result looks so much better with the tint.

Used this on my back deck railing and it worked really good! We loved the color and the seal on it. We touched it up 24 hrs after applying and then we were good to go. Make sure you stir really well before using.

At present I cannot speak to the longevity/wear but I will say to apply, it was a breeze, the color was perfect and cleanup was a cinch. I stained (so far) one end of a log cabin that has been sorely neglected for decades. It is the east end and gets a strong summer morning sun until about 1pm. I finally said enough is enough and washed it all down, let it dry a few days and started. I got through about a gallon and a half with just about 10' left to do. It's been raining since so waiting for dry weather, looks like two more days of rain then a few sunny days. It looks wonderful -- not a hint of neglect at all. I am so pleased! If I have enough oomph left I will do a second coat but I'm well over 70 and just not able to do such long stretches to get it done in one day. I will need another gallon or two to be on the safe side for a second coat but for now I can finish the first coat with the half gallon I have. 2 gallons will do a 34' one story and full attic. ~~ Girls just wanna have fun ~~ :)

sent a substitute for one gallon and doesnt match the other two gallons i bought so just wasted 35.00 and cant finish my deck

initially had 2 %26 they were same color and consistency. was happy with them. ran out. ordered 2 more. got extremely watered down version. does not match at all. even multiple coats can match the initial color. same can, same number 717. not worth the money.

It's very easy to apply, but it takes two coats. The problem with it is that it IS NOT the color of redwood. It has way too much yellow in it. I will try another brand of a redwood colored stain, but will buy a small can to see if it's really the color of redwood colored stain. I have an entire gallon of this stain that I don't know what to do with it. I guess I will give it away to someone who likes the color.

Damaged container and only one container received. No vitamins. Would like to send pictures because I couldn't believe what I saw. This container looked like it had sat in a warehouse and burst ... label was practically torn off and looked rusty Please issue full credit and have someone pick this up ... I ordered online because I didn't want to go to the store and I'm sure not going to carry it back ! I am very disappointed and your website isn't very helpful.

I only received 1 gallon and ordered 2 because 1 was spilled before it got to me. I'm still waiting on a replacement. It should have arrived yesterday but isn't here yet.
