Olympus ME-52W Noise Cancelling Microphone

Doing research before ordering the purchase, it seems that the pocket recorder is a quality one being from Olympus. So the recommended best microphone to work with the recorder as seen from outside sources from Olympus is to get this external microphone. It came well packaged and works or pickups just fine. Exactly how directional it is, is unknown since I do not have an omni directional one to compare it to, but it is clear and as clear as can be for a mono unit which the recorder itself is designed as a mono rather than a stereo. The wire is thin. The length for general usage is satisfactory and seems to be a standard length, but for me, having one about 6' long would give it a more versatile usage. As long as the thinness does not equate to being able to be damaged easier than one twice as thick, it deserves from me a rare full 5 out of 5 Star above and beyond rating. How it would pick up sounds using a different recorder comparatively is also unknown but again, for this, it has been above and beyond my expectation.

Use it with my PC. Works nice, no problems with installation or anything else; just plug it in and started to talk...
