Lifesaver - for the couch anyway!
I get one of these and tape it to the corner/leg of my couch with duct tape. My cat likes to really rip at upright fabric (my couch) and this serves as a great replacement for my furniture. Gets shredded to death occasionally so I untape and replace with a new one. It's a great solution for a cat that doesn't like sisal but prefers fabric/carpeting.

Didn't appeal to my cats
My cats haven't paid one bit of attention to this scratch post. Not likely the best choice I could have made.

Cat liked smell but claws got hung
Horrible. There are different quality fabrics on each post. My cat got tangled in it. They also aren't heavy enough on the bottom. They could be used on their side if the fabric was better. Cat did like the smell. I am returning.
