I am not a gamer but I need lots of video and editing power and that is exactly what I get from this customized 35L. I have been jealous of my partner's 30L for a few years and now I feel like I can keep up. My partner just got an OmniPro 7 17 inch laptop too. We are HP all the way!
My previous PC would not fulfill the full potential of a newly purchased Omen 34c G2 Monitor that I purchased so I purchased this Omen35L which runs all my applications from the past and I am sure the future. What a blessing to be able to run my FSX SE and FS2020 at full tilt and more realism than I have ever been able to experience. It is extremely quiet and easy to access the inside for cleaning and adding future equipment. FAST and QUIET without the heat.
This is my first gaming-dedicated desktop and I'm loving it. It's exceeded my expectations of most of what I thought it would be like. For the setup experience, I've really been unable to push to its limits, so far! But that's part of why I got the powerhouse - I wanted it to be more than half of what I needed for my usual dual monitor (one is a drawing display tablet) and moderate gaming and drawing activities. Improvements: I can't think of any improvement areas, other than size. Then again, I'm new to gaming dedicated desktops and they are probably beefy in design for several good engineering reasons. I had to get creative with its placement and sit it on my desk's top shelf to keep its intake fans from sucking up too much floor-level dust and pet hair and also because there was little space to keep it at floor-level anyway. Luckily, it all worked out, and it's big for a reason, so not a concern anymore. Now the lights... they attract a lot of attention. I didn't care for them when I planned to buy it, only the hardware performance. But the family loves them almost like a moth to a light. Maybe future versions could use more lights, somewhere, doing something?! Overall, it's an excellent desktop and hope to use it 7 to 10 years before upping to a new computer!
Really glad I purchased this PC! Performance has exceeded expectations so far. No issues at all. It is very easy to work on, panels pop right off with great access to internal components. One of the cable connections was a bit awkward to reach, but not impossible. I use this for some gaming, photo editing, and general computing tasks and it is a perfect fit for those tasks.
I've been using the HP OMEN 35L desktop for a few months now, mainly for professional business tasks and AI development, and I'm genuinely impressed with its performance beyond just gaming. This PC handles everything I throw at it effortlessly. For work, it manages heavy multitasking—large spreadsheets, multiple virtual machines, video editing, and high-quality video calls—without any issues. The cooling system is remarkably quiet, even under prolonged loads, making it ideal for a professional office setting where noise could be distracting. What really stands out for me is AI work. The powerful NVIDIA GPU with CUDA and tensor cores speeds up machine learning workflows, local model training, data analysis, and generative AI tools very effectively. Running Stable Diffusion or local LLMs feels smooth and responsive, thanks to the quick SSD storage and plenty of RAM. Build quality is excellent, and I value the easy expandability with standard components. Highly recommended for anyone engaged in demanding business or AI tasks.
I've only owned this computer for a few weeks. It worked well for a couple of weeks. At some point, it started to have power issues, and the device when in sleep mode would constantly power cycle on and off, creating an audible clicking noise, and causing the internal lights to turn on and off. Within a couple days this must have caused the unit to die. It will not turn on and i've had to send it in for a warranty claim.
I thought this PC was going to be fast and also made sure it had lots of RAM. It is not fast at all, even when it is not going to the internet. It seems slower than the 8 year old PC it replaced. I am not much of a gamer so cannot tell if it is great in that area or not. It lags playing MS games.
Nothing but problems. I've had to reinstall windows 4 times. I regret buying this computer.
After receiving my OMEN 35L it immediately had issues with games crashing and overheating from fans not working. I had to send it back and HP is sending a new one. Hope the second one works!
Nothing but graphics and audio issues from day one. Despite multiple attempts at fixing problems, I still have glitchy audio and stuttering graphics. Even after throttling fps to 60. Why have a gaming PC if you need to run components at minimal settings. It seems there are driver conflicts, and OS issues as I ran cmd line heath scans and repairs for corrupted system drive files. Still have graphics pauses and stuttersafter all that. This while playing GTA 5.
