Saves the tailgate and enables you to access your tools. Why put weight on the tailgate? Excellent idea. My only request is they put a spray on bedliner on the bar instead of a powdercoat. It would make a big difference. .
Built heavy duty, fits good. Could use a bracket to hang it on the headache rack when not in use.
I have a F250 and a ladder rack out would too tall to get ladders in and out. This works great and easy to get all my ladder off
Works as should. Fits in the stake pockets very well and is made of strong metal. Very satisfied.
Got exact what I ordered. !
I purchased a Backrack system (Cab unit & rear tailgate unit) for my 2004 F-250 which has functioned perfectly! So, when I bought a new truck, it was the right accessory to accommodate my larger lumber purchases so that I could get them to my job sites safely.
I love the rear bar it works very well. My only question is could it be made taller height wise, as tall as the cab. The reason I ask this is when I haul my canoe it seems like it's catching a lot of air because of the angle aside from that I truly love the ease of just dropping it into the stake pocket's when needed.
All material or equipment you load is at a big angle. Stuff slides off if not secured every time you walk away. Tough loading multiple pieces of lumber
This is a good idea and it looks great. Only wish they offered it in a sturdy aluminum for newer F-150s with aluminum body. When steel and aluminum meet it can cause galvanic corrosion.
Been waiting weeks. No info from realtruck, not even an email
