OmniCore Designs 4 Person Weatherproof A Frame Tent

Simply wonderful! We had been allowing our son to use my old (really, old) “pup” tent from forever ago, when he wanted to sleep outside. It was a “2-man” tent, which means it was just big enough for a 9-year-old to sleep in with the way he rolls around. When I saw this, I figured it would be PERFECT for next summer when he has friends for a sleepover. It read as an A-Frame tent. Well, apparently that means something a little different now than it did 25 years ago. It is in that shape… but it is NOT easy to set up! For this tent, first of all… the directions are NOT clear. I'm still not sure if it's put together right, or what these little metal pole sleeves are supposed to do. Not all the parts are listed, nor shown in the pictures. It is not a traditional set-up. The short poles go INSIDE (?) the tent, and there is a top beam that strings between them. And somehow they are supposed to connect THROUGH the tent. And, this tent comes with a fly that was designed as PART of the system, so you cannot really set up just the tent without the fly, which is totally unnecessary when it is in the basement. Also, on beautiful nights, he's going to want to see the starts. The rain fly should NOT be a requirement to balance the end poles properly. Really not too happy about that part. But, my son has a tent big enough for his friends, so at the price I guess that is good enough for him.

Read somewhere that in a power outage, put a tent in the middle of the room to help stay warm. We never had the power outage (Yet) but during Xmas break grandkids were bored so grandpa set this up for them in the basement to play in. It really is quite roomy, Grandkids had no problem standing in it and it held maybe aa 100 stuffed animals! It served its purpose well and everyone had a ball!

The OmniCore Designs A-Frame Tent is great for short hikes and backyard camping. The directions are clear-cut and easy to put up. The 10 pretty much relies upon the center poles and tension so I would not recommend using it in a loose dirt to sand area. It is light enough to carry in hand or to sling it over one shoulder for a short hike. This reminds me of the tents in the 1970s. I have not had a chance to test it in the rain but I feel with the A-frame design and the extra overlay it would keep it nice and dry inside. Simple and sturdy easy to set up and take down.

We loved putting this up...it is easy lol we had to put it up inside due to weather however we were able to see the ease of use and the durability of the product it's really great and we were surprised by the size and space inside very roomy. We are excited to use this tent come spring and summer.

I have not set this tent up yet. But it is light weight, water proof and I think easy to set up. I can not wait until spring/summer to use it for camping.

This tent appears to be roomy enough for the intended number of people. It is well constructed and fairly easy to put up. Since it is winter we weren't able to fully put it up as we couldn't stake it down, but it seems to be fairly typical as far as how to put it up and wasn't difficult.

As you can see from the pictures, all equipment is included to put the tent up, so you don't need to run out and get more tent spikes. I could only open the bag and check contents due to a frozen yard but the instructions w/pics are included for the novice. Overall, this will be a great first timers tent.

This is a tent for fair weather,…..definitely not something that we will be using in the winter. The reason is because it is very highly vented. Which makes it perfect for summer and warmer weather camping. I must say the vent system is really cool though. The “windows” have a built in rainfly vent system, kind of like a gable. The top rainfly utilizes metal spacers to keep the tent dry while allowing like a 3” gap between the rainfly and the tent. The bottom tarp is built into the main tent piece. There's only 3 (metal) poles and several stakes, so setting up is a breeze. It can easily sleep two adults. It rained lightly during my first use, so I had to allow it to air dry in a spare bedroom before rolling back up to store away. I had zero issues getting it back into the bag. Its like an old school tent in the sense that it gets set up like one. But high tech and modern in the materials used, the lighter weight and the new fangled vent system. Excellent for summer camping.

The OmniCore Designs A-Frame Tent is about 9 feet long by 7 feet wide and weighs 5 pounds in its storage bag. Since it's winter here, I wasn't able to erect the tent outdoors, but I made a vaiant effort to set it up in our living room. The tent is large enough to fit 4 sleeping bags, but not much more. It would be a roomy tent for 2 people, and a pleasure dome for one adult. The tent appears well-made, with good quality material and stitching. It's a tent best suited for the occasional camper and will serve as my "spare room" when I'm traveling in my tow-behind camper. While it may be possible for one person to erect the tent, it's really a two-person job. The instructions are confusing and the photos are too small and too cluttered to be helpful. Nevertheless, anyone with some mechanical expertise or experience erecting tents should be able to do a reasonable job in a reasonable time. The tent poles (3) are decent weight and easy to put together. They should do the job as long as the weather is fair. Sitting out a storm in this tent would not be a pleasant experience. The tent has a mesh top, which I particularly dislike (but it's a common feature of current tent designs). Any time there's a chance of rain or morning dew, the rain fly is a necessity. The flooring is what one would expect in an occasional-use tent and won't withstand abuse. I'd advise erecting the tent on top of a decently heavy tarp or ground cloth. This tent is not waterproof (show me one that is...). It should be decently water resistant, but I would spray it with a water repellant spray made for tents before using it, and repeat the treatment at least once every year. Rolling up the tent wasn't difficult. Getting it all in the storage bag, however, was quite a chore. I made five 550-cord compression ties (3 for the tent and 2 for the rain fly) that made closing the storage bag possible. The tent comes with everything you need to erect it, but it's always a good idea to have a supply of extra line available just in case it's needed. Overall, this is a reasonably nice tent for occasional use. There are certainly better tents on the market, but not at this price point. I'll use the tent throughout the mild months of the year, and I'd expect that it'll last a reasonable number of years.
