OmniCore Designs Mil-Spec 5-pc. Modular Sleeping Bag System 30F to -30F Mummy

This sleeping bag has so many layers to it. It's fantastic. I used it when it was really cold outside, about 20°F, and it held up very well. There's a pad included that made it very comfortable and sleeping directly on the ground. It is way too heavy to use backpacking but it's perfect if you hike in and out of a campsite.

OmniCore Designs Mil-Spec 5-pc. Modular Sleeping Bag System 30F to -30F Hooded Mummy is a top of the line sleeping bag. A great design made with quality material. Filled with duck down making it very warm and cozy. It can be used as a regular sleeping bag or with the mummy hood feature. The zipper glides well no snagging. It is not heavy so easy to carry. Very spacious good for someone up to 6 foot. It is semi breathable, I did sweat some in it. Overall a great sleeping bag I would recommend.

Love this sleeping bag system. It really covers all the bases. The bags can be used separately when the temps are warmer, or together when its colder. Theres a waterproof cover bag that you can use with either of the sleeping bags separately, or with both together, to stay dry. You can pack just one bag using the small stuff sack, or all of them with the large one. The mummy style of the bag insulates particularly well in colder temps, for instance, when the power went out during a recent arctic storm! Love this system!

This sleeping bag is impressive. It's is surprisingly light and you have options on what to take with you. Haven't been able to try outside yet as there is a lot of snow on the ground. This will be a permanent fixture in the travel trailer come camping time.

Our son is a Captain in one of the military branches. He had to do his OCS in January and February and it snowed several times. If anyone is in the military they know OCS and s no joke. He was sleeping outside in their sleep systems with three inches of snow on the ground. When he came home he immediately went out and bought me and his dad a sleep system each for us because it could actually save your life one day if you had to sleep out side or camping or a disaster. Any reason. I got this one and he tried it out to see how much of a difference it was. He likes this one better. This sleep system got signed off by one of the most brutal critic is could have. He wants us all to get this sleep system as opposed to the actually military's ones he purchased. These are ridiculously cheaper and better and I never thought I'd say that but please listen to me. This is the layered sleep system you want. For the price I give it 10 out of 10 stars. For the quality I give it 10 out of 10 stars. For comfort I give it 10 out of 10 stars. This will be the last sleeping system you ever have to buy.

So the stats for this “sleeping bag” are insane: negative 30 degrees Fahrenheit! I did not think all of that was necessary, but I am not a “sleep outside” kind of gal. Hubs insisted that I did, in fact, need every single “extra special” amenity this mummy bag offers based off of my memory foam, thick bed with heated mattress pad and heated blanket. Ok, he did have a point. I really liked that it was customizable depending on the weather conditions. I was unsure if it would be easier to add layer or take them away in the middle of the night if I needed to adjust- so I chose to try all the layers to start. I was too hot- this sleeping bag is no joke. It reminds me of a tent in the summertime- too hot during the day with the rainproof cover on top. I was very warm and cozy thanks to the duck down fill. The materials are high quality. I thought the system in the bag was heavy- but I am comparing that to my kiddo’s indoor character sleeping bag- hubs insists it is light for what you get. The only complaint I had was that I was unable to get it back in the compression bags just right (but hubs was able to so that is his job forever now). I do recommend this sleeping bag system!

Finally, I have an upgraded sleeping bag that can hang in all types of weather conditions. I have tried to get away with my cheap old sleeping bag, but I am always cursing myself for not spending the extra bit of money for better quality when I am laying there shivering in the cold. Not anymore!! This Omnicore sleeping bag is really amazing. So, I will try and explain everything that you get with this system. I use that word very specifically because it really does work as a system, especially when you need it for the coldest temperature (which FYI it is rated for -30 degrees Fahrenheit!! I do not know about any of you out there but that is plenty warm enough for any camping that I do by far. So, the first layer is a bivy waterproof bag which to me is just critical and I can't believe I never had before. There is literally nothing worse when camping that your sleeping bag getting wet. Nothing! So that is a lighter layer and then you build from there depending on how cold your situation is. Next there is the 30-degree rated red intermediate bag that you can use alone or combine it with the 20-degree black patrol bag and the waterproof bag for the total -30-degree protection level. I like that the bags are different colors so you can very quickly grab the one you want without confusion. A simple feature but very helpful. Not sure if someone over six feet tall would be comfortable because I am shorter, but the length of the bag was great for me and my family members that have one of these systems. Check out my pictures. It was hard to take pictures of my own bag that really showed you what it is like, but I took a stock picture of the three layers you get and a shot of everything you get in the system. I forgot to mention that you get two different sized compression bags for you to choose from depending on if you will be using one or two of the heavier sleeping bags for your trip. Overall, I think it is a great sleeping bag system and it is an amazing value for what you receive. I do not think that you will be disappointed if you order it.

The title best describes this. It's a sleeping bag inside a sleeping bag inside a sleeping bag. I don't know if it's good for -30F, but if you are cold-natured and enjoy tent camping in the cold weather, you need this. You probably won't even need a tent with this.

This Omni Core Brand sleeping bag is a fantastic lightweight sleeping bag,I don't even need/use the hood as it is a very warm, nice green color, large so it is plenty big for any adult under 6'2",Has a YKK zipper for easy trouble free use, I highly recommend this Omni Core sleeping bag
