I already have an Omnigrid rotary cutter, but thought I lost that little metal cowboy hat shaped washer. So, I bought another Omnigrid rotary cutter %26 realized it didn't use one, (one thing less to worry about when changing blades). I'm a senior (vision %26 arthritis challenges) %26 had a concerning hiccup with another brand rotary cutter a little over a year ago %26 I decided to research brands that had safety features. Omnigrid was %26 is the pick. I don't have to worry about a skin nick or a fingernail bed injury because the blade is sticking out when I put it down or brush against it by mistake. Omnigrid blade automatically %26 immediately retracks/safely when I release pressure after cutting. It really puts my mind at ease to have this feature %26 now I wouldn't use a rotary cutter without it.
A good cutter, able to handle about 3 layers of fabric. Took some practice to get the correct pressure for a clean cut at ends. I would buy another, a good product.
Perfect service
Simple and gets the job done, very sharp, reasonably priced, felt good in my hand, cuts the first time.
This is a great tool for cutting your curved fabric projects. Love it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use a rotary cutter to help with faster cutting on paper projects, so I go through them. This one cuts really smoothly, and it looks really sturdy. The handle cushion is a nice benefit versus the one I've been using.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tool to have for working with fabric. I have used for making of our seasonal holiday costumes. I've also used for my crafting projects. Cuts with ease. Perfect tools to add to me crafting kit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rotary cutters are the only way to go when fabric is involved. I'm terrible at cutting straight lines so scissors are a nightmare. I much prefer a good rotary cutter and a ruler on a mat. It makes my life easier. So this one by Omnigrid, which feels great in the hand, is exactly what I needed. The blade is super sharp from go so you can get right into crafting or quilting or whatever it is you do! I love the safety mechanism. There's no push button like on most cutters to expose the blade. You just press down and the cover pulls back and off you go so there's no accidentally leaving it open (something I would totally do) and then picking it up wrong and hurting yourself. This is a great product and should definitely be a staple in your craft bag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a woman of a mature age, using scissors can be quite challenging and uncomfortable. Especially when my hand hurt. Being left handed isn't a factor. As I mentioned, my hands hurt sometimes. This has caused me to drop what I'm holding. I don't have to worry about injuries as the blade retracts. I'm just getting back into sewing and haven't had any issues achieving an even cut, regardless of the heavy weight. Cuts the 1st time. Doesn't require much pressure for the cut, which is ideal.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using this to cut fabric along the edge of five bulletin boards for school. It cuts ok but I had to go back over some spots. I'm not sure if it dulled due to the bulletin board backing, but by the end it just wasn't cutting as smoothly as it had started. It still works fine but seems to need sharpening after one evening of use.
