My Scrabble-loving family got me this game for Christmas, as a change of pace (and a better chance of beating me?). We played multiple times already---with either 2, 3, or 4 people---and it was a blast. Simple rules, easy to learn, fast gameplay, and it all fits inside the can for transport! Even younger kids were successful, since even 3-letter words count. "Stealing" words from other players adds to the fun. My one star off is because the wooden tiles are really thin: one actually broke in half during our first game. I might pull out an old set of Scrabble tiles and use those instead.

ONE UP! is definitely a game where an agile, carnivorous attitude is your best ally. Pity the numbskull who expects a pastel plastic drive-through Game of Life, or a gentlemanly contest of fisticuffs by Broughton's Rules. This is a romp, a rollicking excuse for mad, mutually abusive annihilation. Twenty times better than beer pong.
