Decent paddle for beginners just trying out the game, but will need an upgrade for anything more than occasional play. Surface tends to scratch fairly easily.

This was my first pickleball paddle and honestly I had no idea what to look for. It feels good and has a nice grip. It's not heavy at all. But, the handle is a bit short, even for my small hands, and the finish showed wear from my first use. It's very smooth, so there is not much grip to the surface itself. I noticed this when doing drills popping up the ball continuously. On this paddle the ball tended to go in any direction, not necessarily up. Tried the same drill with another paddle and the ball was consistently bouncing up and down in a straight line, so I would say the control on this one is not great. Although it's cheap I wouldn't recommend this for beginners because you're already struggling to learn control and if the paddle adds issues to that it's a no go.

Solid choice but it may be a bit too heavy. The grip section is comfortable.
