Gorgeous appearance right out of the box; charger %26 cable matches the color—got rose gold. Screen definitely IS wider, the black borders are less thick, like half of what's on the 7” version. Also picks up HD 1080 video well from AMZN Prime, etc. Wi-Fi %26 bluetooth connected right away, apps functioned properly, volume/speakers sound clear, pin opened the SD card tray fine; initially very impressed with all this value so far. Only drawback for now was, there should've been an auxiliary jack for the most common head/earphone cables though; the mandatory usb-c adapter will set you back about $5, not really pricey but still a must-have.
I got this tablet because of its 12-inch screen and 16:10 aspect ratio (rather than the 16:9 "slit" that most tablets have) for viewing my high-resolution photos and scans. The tablet's screen size and fantastic display did not disappoint me. The USB transfer rate is terrible. I began copying about 20GB of files to the onboard 128GB of storage, and left it running, only to come back an hour later and find the transfer had frozen. A second attempt ended in the same way. I put the files on a microSD card, which took only a few minutes, and put the card in the tablet, and everything was fine. I wanted to move files around on the card and tried plugging the tablet into my computer, only to have the process freeze again, so it's definitely the USB access that is slow. I pulled the card out, and moved my files quickly. The tablet's USB interface is so slow it's not usable. The system uses 15GB of the 128GB onboard storage. The microSD card tray is very tight, on this tablet and the 11-inch version, to the point it's hard to get in and out. The little piece of plastic is fragile, and if it breaks, there's no way to replace it. I recommend being very, very careful. Normally, I'd put a big card in and load it by using the USB interface to connect the tablet to my computer, but not with this tablet's slow USB. This tablet could have been awesome. I absolutely love the screen size and picture sharpness. But the USB interface is tragic, and the microSD card tray is brittle. You truly can't have it all, but at this price point, it's not a bad tablet.
One of the best performing tablets i have used. Good performance, great battery life and has run every app i tried without problem. At this price i did not expect much but this is a solid tablet at a steal. I expected lots of factory bloat apps but the only app i saw that was not vanilla Android was the Walmart app which I kept. Only critique is the default interface config need tweaking.
This tablet is beautiful. Sharp, clear screen. Nice size. Good features. My two problems: As a number of other people have reported, the tablet shuts itself off without warning, and it can be frustrating to get it to turn back on and stay on. I may return it for this reason. Also, I'm not at all sure the battery is lasting as long as it should. I plan to chart how much percentage is used per hour, etc.
Just got one as a replacement for a 5 year old ONN (8"?) tablet (which worked well until the USB-C port died!). So far, I love it. The display is nice and spacious, but it needs more memory. I added a 256GB (ti can take 1TB). Overall, it's a good value for the price.
12.1 onn tablet . I did my research and took the bite it's a solid tablet great for gaming great screen , 129 gb internal storage and up to 1tb of sd capability. Decent speed . Can't go wrong for the price ,however if you go into YouTube for reviews no one mentioned that this tablet has a issue while playing any videos from you tube, personal videos from sd card , freewe,Netflix, any output video that this tablet plays you will find out that it will prompt a black screen for about a second every other 3-4 minute or less while playing videos . In fact one or two users using the same tablet encountered the same issue and I found one more on a review on Walmart. So , I reset it to factory and it's going back , it's a shame cuz I kind of like this tablet a lot but I couldn't deal with this black screen flashing every other minute while watching anything. I don't know honestly if everyone has or encounter this issue or paid attention to that. But it's there . So I guess I'll be looking into something more reliable
The screen has a glitch issue where the whole screen goes black randomly while watching hulu or YouTube and it's really annoying nothing will fix it
First of all, the screen on this tablet is beautiful, the design/manufacture is very Apple-like, and the packaging is thoughtful. I really wanted to love this tablet. But… I didn't. Background: I use a tablet on a flexible mount on my nightstand and use it solely for media consumption when I go to bed, and this was to replace an older Tab A7. Ultimately, I returned this for a Lenovo P12. Why? The main issue is the screen would go black for about a second and then come back on after using it for an extended period. This tablet's OS config was not ideal. It was not as configurable as Samsung and Lenovo. What's more, I couldn't customize the icons along the bottom, couldn't customize the battery settings to my satisfaction, and the audio was hollow. This isn't a terrible tablet, just not my preference at this price point vs others available on the market.
Very light use, less than 4 months old and it turns off all the time by itself. about every 20 minutes, making it pretty much useless.
They sent me a used tablet from the store. Tried calling and no department answered. Absolute joke. Box sticker was ripped and there was hair all over the ripped screen cover. Disgusting.
