Look. IM planning on retiring this years..Im already making cuts so It's not so hard to adjust......My cable and WIFI was $200. Had I known how well this worked I would have done way back....I cancelled cable changed wifi to ATT.......to be able to stream...but honestly...I have more TV Than I can ever watch FREE... 51 channels And they just happen ed to beall local. ABC NBC CREATIVE SHOPPING NETWORK DECADESS on and on.....So happy with this ...I. am a 68 yr old female And putting thid together was a breeze..By the way...I saw a more that sharing more than one TV May effect Signals...not so...I hooked up a 2nd TV.. MY pictures are beautiful..once you Use the remove and turn the antenna in best position....Run SCAN channels on each TV...for second cable ....Purchased RG6 coaxial cable cheaply..from Amazon From USA company..Cimble..quality product...GOODLUCK..!
Works well. Needed to get it higher on roof to work for my location, though. Wish it came with longer wires for being able to put control box where it is needed so we could, actually use the remote. Where we had to put antenna is on other side of house from TV room. And, maybe, extension poles.
This works well but still did not pick up some stations we wanted. I don't think it really is reaching 150 miles, but it definitely gets a lot more than the smaller, "window" type of antenna we were using. The remote is nice, but it's a little frustrating trying to figure out if it's turned enough or not and what direction it's rotating in. However, I think those are issues with most of these outside antennaes. It's a decent product, but don't expect to necessarily get all the channels you see the TV guide telling you that you should be able to get. We used it nearly two years, but ecently, after a tree limb knocked it over during a storm we replaced it with a larger, "more powerful one." However, I'm not sure it does much better. I need to add that we are way out in the country under a lot of large oak trees, so I know that too, affects the signals that reach us.
I already wrote a review (which isn't posted yet), but I do have something to add! Many have said that the rotation feature of this antenna doesn't work, and I can attest that on both of these that I have purchased, neither one will rotate. I was going to return the first one that didn't come with all of the parts that I bought online from Walmart and had to buy another one at the local store to get all of the pieces, but have decided to keep it for spare parts! I finally got it installed last night and so far so good! Picking up all 20 of the OTA channels here in Yuma, AZ!
I bought this intending to attic mount instead of outdoors. It works very well, and I pick up all the channels I should given my location from the towers. I have 2 chief complaints. The first is that although the motor will turn the antenna 360 degrees and reverse when it gets to the ends of its intended travel, if you can't see the antenna, you have no idea of what direction it's pointing in. The second is that you must apply power. I understand the need to power to turn the antenna and to power the internal amplifier, but it would be preferable to have the internal amplifier bypassed when the power is off.
I bought 2 of these and really liked at first. now one has quit completely and one won't adjust remotely.Just disappointed because now I have to start looking for some that will last.
Cable was cheap and broke before we could use it. If I had not purchased 1 the dog broke and had an extra cable it would have been worthless. so far it only picks up 2 channels and those channels extra old show channels like me and get tv. Going to by a pole and see if putting it up higher helps and if not buy a different type.
The cheap coaxial cable came severely kinked, to the point of being almost broken in half. I replaced the cable and still could only get 4 channels. Although we live in a rural area, we have more than 4 broadcast stations within 60 miles and several more within 100 miles. The 150 mile range claimed, is grossly exaggerated.
back of antenna has 2 "grill-like" panels that unfold to the position shown Can not get them to lock in place Range of 100+ miles? Live 20 miles from Knoxville Tenn, Do not get the local stations Elevated antenna to 40 foot. connector on BOTTOM of coax came off. Tried to put back on now get 1 channel
This thing has the sorriest directions I've ever seen. For one thing it doesn't tell you how the rotation device works and I cannot get it to rotate no matter what I do..... It probably is faulty, but if I have to go to the trouble of taking the pole down, it will be to put up a different antenna.....
