This TV came excellently packaged even including a cardboard sleeve to protect the original packaging. Plenty of molded foam surrounds it within the box so it arrives in PERFECT condition. After the packaging the next thing that struck me was the TVs weight. I have extensive experience with flat panel sets and this one is built extremely well from good components. I am an avid gamer and work from home using TV sets as my laptop displays. Attach the legs, place batteries in the Roku remote, plug it in and ENJOY. The connection to WIFI was seamless and very well explained on the screen. The sound is GREAT, GREAT, GREAT, I moved my soundbar upstairs as this TV DOES NOT need it! First turn-on the TV was sitting on carpet and I was still blown away! The bass is phenomenal and adjustment is available in the TVs on screen menus. Everything is done through the Roku remote and is super intuitive in design. Some engineers actually used the TV as they designed it so it makes sense to you and I!! I am a cable subscriber so my only additional attachment was an HDMI to one of the 3 available ports, PIECE OF CAKE! TV volume and power are also handled via the Roku remote so you only need your cable/satellite providers remote as an additional. Use the Roku remote to select that HDMI port and you're watching cable, that easy! The picture is astounding with great crispness and color displayed. Following a football through the air is like being there, the refresh rate is just that good. Menu offers 5 color/brightness settings and we found the default "bright" the best. The set site solidly on it's ample/wide legs and is bottom heavy so I'm confident it will stay put. Just a GREAT TV all in all, great picture, great sound and at a phenomenal price! I think I just changed brand loyalty, LOL!
The 58” Roku Smart TV by Onn is a great buy because of the 4K Ultra HD quality and all the features! Roku offers hundreds of channels to choose from. Many are free. Others charge a fee. With all these viewing options, this Smart 4K TV will cover a wide range of interests! Out of the box setup was a breeze using the setup wizard that first appears when the TV is turned on. You will need a Roku account and WIFI service. The wizard will first connect to your WIFI and do updates. Next it will it will walk you through your channel viewing preferences. The setup wizard will also ask if you have a subscription to a cable company and what other accessories you have plugged into the TV ports (4 HDMI ports). The setup Wizard will then download your viewing preferences or stations. You are now ready to enjoy your Roku TV. The Home Screen on the Roku TV displays your cable provider along with all the Roku stations from your preferences. Use the remote control to select what you want to watch. If you chose cable your cable remote will be used to select your channel choice. In settings you can modify brightness, audio, child viewing content and many other adjustments. Three things I do not like are the placement of the sound on the remote control, the TV stand and the placement of the input ports. It is very easy to mute or adjust the sound by accident simply by holding the remote. The volume and mute buttons are on the side of the remote! The legs of the TV stand are located at the bottom end of the screen which limits where you can set the TV up. The input ports are difficult to use they way they face downward and hard to access. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would recommend this to family and friends.
This onn. 58" Class 4K Ultra HD (2160P) Roku LED TV is really big and i love it! Its about 29 1/2 inches tall (about 32 inches with the stand), about 51 inches long, and about 59 inches diagonally. This television can be mounted to a wall or placed on top of a tv center. If you choose to place it on a tv center, your tv center would need to be at least 51 inches long. Unfortunately mine was not, so i will need to purchase a longer one. Connecting the stand to the tv is pretty straight forward. It comes with the 4 nails needed. I used a regular + screwdriver to put it together. The tv has all the usual connections of a smart tv. It has a headphone connection, 3 HDMI ports, cable connection, a USB port etc. This onn. 58" Class 4K Ultra HD (2160P) Roku LED TV was very easy to set up. Its like setting up a computer but easier. I just selected my language, country and connected the tv to my wifi. You also will need a computer or smartphone to activate your roku account. Video on this television is super clear and crisp. I love the fact that it has many different channels, movies and tv shows i can watch. Some are free some are not. My kids love to use it to watch videos on youtube and pbs kids. Overall this onn. 58" Class 4K Ultra HD (2160P) Roku LED TV is a great television. Its current and easy to use.
received this item from the Walmart Spark Review Program for no compensation - just an honest and unbiased review. Thank you!! The Element 58" Smart TV is 4K Ultra UHD (ultra high definition) true to life resolution for crystal clear and precise viewing quality! Comes equipped with an easy to use remote that gives you 1-click access to many customizable picture settings and streaming channels. Has excellent picture quality and the sound quality is surprisingly good as well compared to most flat panel televisions. DLED lighting means led lights are spread across the back of the whole screen giving a contrast ratio of 3,000:1. Energy Star Compliant, backlit LED, resolution is over 8 million pixels and resolution of 3840x2160 with a refresh rate of 60hz, not optimal for fast moving sports or action movies and video gaming. 176 degree viewing angle means your view will be optimal from anywhere in the room! Has built in wi-fi for internet connectivity, along with 1 USB ports, 1 headphone port, 1 rca input, an analog/digital tv input, and 3 HDMI inputs. Fully smart tv functional with preprogrammed channels for ROKU and other streaming channels such as: Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, and more. Access 500,000+ movies and TV episodes across thousands of free or paid channels. The Element tv also allows you, through your phone & a roku app, to cast images from your phone to the tv – much like chromecast. You can even do voice searches through the roku app! DOES NOT come with a standard remote with normal channel and volume up/down controllers (although there are some on the side of the roku remote) or a menu function to set tv settings to your personal preference – only the basic ROKU remote control. I would also love to change some of the color settings and especially the sound settings for bass/treble – but can’t find those anywhere. I will try to find a remote for this and try to contact the company. Great picture otherwise – sound is a bit hollow/tinny. Assembled in the USA of parts from Asia – so you can take some pride in creating American jobs!
The onn. 58 class 4k hd Roku smart led tv is quite a set. I have not experience a 4k television before so this was all new to me. Also I haven't heard of this brand before. The colors are so vibrant and the picture is so clear. I wasn't familiar with the Roku aspect either, in fact I was a little afraid of what people had said about the experience of trying to set up and calling only to be mislead into thinking they had to pay.We had no problems with the set up and it linked up in no time. The apps that we use were already loaded so no problem there. The biggest problem we had was getting this monster tv hooked up to the wall. That wasn't to do with the set only adapting it the the previous mount. This is a great tv and at a very reasonable price.
The 58" 4K Roku LED TV has quality and is a very fine piece. The set up is literally good for one person job. I did it alone. The box was open and cut from the side, then slide it out. One will find the remote and instructions and screws. Then lay it flat and lift the bottom up using the foam. Install the stand one at a time. Yes, one will need a screw driver. Then, lift it up and let it stand. Then plug it in, power it up. It will ask one to check the basics, like internet connection etc. Then, one will be asked to sign up or log in Roku account. There is a link to use showing on the TV. Once signs up, or signs in, then the TV will update itself and bingo, it is up and running. It will first give you an intro on how to use the remote and / or using the phone app. Then, go to HOME and see the free movies, and channels. And certainly, the paid channels if one has the accounts. Also if there is a cable connection, one can also hook it up to watch local channels etc. There are a total of 3 HDMI ports. Also the basic stereo /audio ports. The color is great. One must has a stand at least 50" long and 1 inch wide to support the TV to stand. Mine was only 46 in long. So it will be placed on the floor for now.
Wow I love this on 58" Class Ultra HD Roku Led Tv. I could hardly believe how simple it is to get it connected to my satellite and even easier to get the internet connection. I'm not that texh savey and this being my first smart TV I appreciate that these connections were very easy to do. I'm very happy with the picture and color quality. The program almost seem to come alive. I can hardly wait to watch football on this tv on Sundays. I'm happy with the layout of how you access ur programming. This is also super easy. For someone who is new to this technology I would recommend this TV.
This ONN 58" Class 4K Ultra HD Roku LED TV is amazing!! If you are not familiar with Roku, it is like having a fire stick built into your TV. You can stream hundreds of channels and thousands of movies. Hundreds of these channels are free, with the options of renting and subscribing to hundreds more. You get an unbelievable amount of TV shows (including weather, music sports, etc.), movie channels such as some of the favorites like Netflix, Vudu, Hulu, Redbox (again, some of these at a cost), but the Roku channel itself gives you so many free movies you don’t even have to pay for the others. (it is just nice to know you have that option). And the capability to stream live sports is a sure plus!! The set up is so easy! First the assembly for the TV is just putting on the 2 legs…simple! As soon as you turn on the TV it gives you easy step by step instructions/video on how to use the remote (the remote even has limited buttons for simplicity), how to set up your favorite channels/apps, tips, etc. (simple, even for folks that are not so techy). You can even access your favorite shows from your cable provider by installing their app and streaming through wifi without connecting your cable. Seriously, you do not need to pay a cable bill if you have this TV! You have everything you need and more, without a cable bill! This TV also allows you to search for movies, channels, actors/actresses just like you may be familiar with, with your cable. The picture is clear and crisp with vivid color. And let me tell you the sound is amazing! When I first turned it on the volume was up a bit and it blew me away… LOL. It is fast with changing channels and maneuvering through apps, etc. with no delay. The TV also has a few other good features like headphone access and sleep timer. Do not hesitate… go buy this TV. You will be amazed!
Easy to install, the image on the screen is very clear, the sound amazing, it has a lot of features. My son-in-law helped to get it installed and working and he was pleasantly surprised at the performance. The colors are bright but not shiny which is what we like, the sound is fantastic, you can hear even the slightest noise in the back and it has adjusted well to the soundbar we had for the other TV. I am very glad I got this TV, we are enjoying it very much.
As for the quality of the TV's build, I find it to be above average. The TV is rather lightweight and very easy to move around, which I personally feel is a plus. The sound is much better than others and not tinny at all. The colors are very vibrant and there is little to no lag time. The legs are very sturdy and easy to put on. Now unfortunately for the drawbacks, the owner's manual has little to no useful information and the color of the manual makes what info is there very hard to see and read. Connecting this TV to my Xfinity cable box and remote was not going to happen no matter how I hooked it up. As far as the Roku channels go, the Vidio and Audio were excellent and look and sound fantastic. To be totally honest, I like this TV Very much and wish that it was compatible with the Xfinity Cable system.
