I found a ONN HDMI DVD player very easy to install. I even tried it on some of my old CDs and it showed perfectly. The instructions were easy to follow I had no trouble getting it connected. And I love the remote with it. so I would definitely recommend this to anybody who needs a new DVD player.
I was extremely excited to try out my new DVD player! Everything from hooking the machine up to the TV and setting it up to watch a DVD disk movie was super easy! The picture quality was great! I had no issues at all. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.
The ONN Upscaling HDMI DVD Player arrived the other day and my first thought was "oh my goodness it is so stinken CUTE! I watched Titanic on it and it was good. I put it in the living room and hooked it up to the 32 inch TV and WOW. Beautiful picture and the sound was fantastic. With everything going on in the world it was nice to sit back and relax and watch a movie on a really great DVD player and not think about whats going on in the world for a little while. Thanks
The ONN Upscaling HDMI DVD Player comes with everything you need, remote, batteries and HDMI cord, you just have to provide the TV new or old, doesn't matter! It's lightweight, compact so it doesn't take up a lot of space and very easy to install/setup. I like that you can play different types of discs - DVD, DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW, Audio CD, CD-R/-RW, and Picture CD Playback. It has voice command and parental controls so you can control what discs can be played. It has a crisp, clear picture, even on the older movies which is awesome! I like that there's a digital display but the one thing I don't like or understand is that when I turn it off, the display constantly displays off, which in my opinion, is unnecessary.
The ONN Upscaling HDMI DVD Player is a good DVD player. The lightness of the product worried me a little, but the quality of picture that the player showed was good. The only real problem that I had was the power supple cord being too short...I had to connect an extension cord to plug in it. It is a USB plug as well so that could work for some instances like plugging into a laptop. Good overall product.
First glance I thought the DVD player was pretty cool. It didn't need to be plugged into a wall outlet. Just HDMI and RCA connectors that both plug into the TV. The first movie I put in worked, the picture was pretty good, sound was good, overall quality was pretty decent(hence where the 2 stars came from). After that I took the disc out and turned the player off. The next day when I went to use it everY disc I put in had an error message popping up saying no disc and wouldn't read any disc I put in. I looked online at other reviews and saw that this is a pretty common issue with this player and it could be either the laser, the disc tray is aligned, or the player is just defective. I wouldn't recommend this specific DVD player. Maybe if there was a guarantee all above issues were fixed because like I said the quality wasn't terrible.
I bougbt this for my grandparents as a gift to them, seeing as how they don't have one. Not only would it not read any of my DVDs that were purchased in the store, it wouldn't read the homemade ones either. And when I say that I have only been able to grt it to play CDs so far, I mean that is all I can get to play on it at the moment. Oh well, if I can't get it to work, this thing is going straight back to the store and I'll be looking at getting one for them latter on at a higher price point. But, as of right now, I am highly disapointed in this product
Purchased this 4 months ago . No damage and didn't drop it or anything and just stopped working . I emailed them explaining this and they basically told me to get the protection plan next time . I just dont get how something new can just not work in 4 months .
I bought this to use for my workout videos so I didn't need a sophisticated device. Initially I was satisfied: cheap unit but a cheap price and it did the job. One morning it simply didn't turn on...no power. I moved it to another outlet and it didn't turn on. I am going to dismantle the thing to get my dvd out and dump it. I had it maybe one month!
I rarely put a bad review on a product but this one deserves it. The video quality was okay but the sound was HORRIBLE. Thinking it might be the HDMI I then tried a composite connection and the sound was no better. With either connection the TV could be on its highest volume and sound wouldn't be as high as at 50% the volume using other sources. We tried multiple DVDs and each had low volume but when using a CD volume was good. The problem may be that this player uses a USB adapter with low power.
