I need two monitors attached to my computer in order to work from home. At the time, I didn't want to invest a lot of money in a new monitor and I ran across one at a local thrift store for $10. I brought it home, hooked it up and it worked perfectly. Score! Fast forward about a year later and I needed to upgrade my laptop. I found a great deal on a new laptop and purchased it, not thinking about the second monitor not being compatible. The new computer had no VGA port, only an HDMI. I thought it was a shame to get rid of a perfectly good monitor and pay several hundred of my hard earned dollars to purchase one that would do exactly the same thing! I was hopeful there would be an adapter that would allow me to keep using my old monitor. ONN to the rescue! This adapter saved me from having to purchase a new monitor. It works exactly the same as it did hooked directly to the laptop and I have had no issues with the adapter. Thank you ONN for making products that keep us from filling up the landfill with peripherals that would be obsolete AND save us money.

This was exactly what I needed. I don't understand what other reviewers are trying to do with this, but it's meant to connect to an HDMI port on either a laptop or PC and them to a VGA cable(blue). It doesn't say it goes from VGA to HDMI, so i don't know why people are using it for that reason?? I connected to my laptop and it was recognized instantly. Now i can use my larger monitor for surfing the web or watching movies This cable worked excellent!!

Does what it's supposed to. Needed to connect my laptop to a vga cable for a projector. Signal was good without issue, once I figured out the proper screen settings on the laptop. I was able to run a PowerPoint presentation without any problems. HDMI and VGA connections were snug without feeling lose. No complaints at this time.

Works perfectly. I have an older monitor that's still perfectly good but only has a VGA. This is the solution!

Hello, I received this product from Walmart sparks review. I think that the product works as should. My son is a gamer and uses multiple screens to game and this was perfect for him. He was able to plug into his computer and show on a separate screen. He loves it.

Friend gave me a monitor that was VGA only and I wanted a QUALITY adapter. You can't go wrong with this folks.

This product was designed to convert a device with a VGA video port to HDMI. Perfect for a projector, but not a PC. You need a converter that connects its RJ9 3.5mm cable ( into the audio output port of the PC), in which the converter integrates the sound with the video and drives it out of the converters HDMI output port. You will also need to purchase an HDMI extension cable to reach the Monitor or TV set.

I bought this because I needed a second computer screen for work and was unable to plug it in on my laptop as is. It didn't work. I was not able to use the monitor, it wouldn't come up at all. It's possible the monitor was just too old, I'm not sure. But it didn't work for me the way I needed it to.
