All you need to do is plug this in. Turn your radio to a station that is free (no music or talk radio, just static). Then set the device to that station. Pair the device to your phone. Find some music to play. The volume knob is easy to use. If you press the volume knob on the device it stops and plays a song. You can change tracks (forward and back) from the device as well. There is an option to add a memory card to store songs on. I highly recommend purchasing this device, trying it out and determine for yourself if there is anything better for the price. It's a great option if you don't have Bluetooth capabilities in your car. I haven't tried the phone option, because I am using it for playing music mainly.
I bought one and the next day I bought another. That should tell you something. One of the big selling points was that it had a 3.5 M cord to go to the radio since my new iPhone 12 doesnt have an auxiliary out jack anymore. The FM transmitter works, I just rather use the cord.
The Bluetooth works perfectly. Once you fine a clear enough station use that station for your Bluetooth and your music will sound so clear.
Came a little scratched but I dont really care as long as it worked well, in which it does. The Bluetooth is very helpful instead of using the aux cord so thats a plus.
Works as advertised. The sound quality isn't quite as good as going directly to my radio but my Bluetooth no longer works in my car. Having a charger port included in the unit is a nice touch, the user interface is easy to use and understand and it connects fast. Needs an on/off switch though. I forget to unplug it sometimes but luckily the unit hasn't killed my battery yet.
Easy to set up. LCD display is hard to see in broad daylight but then once the unit is paired to your radio and device there isn't much reason to look at the screen.
I had a transmitter just like this for years, though it was a different brand. It was perfect but it just got worn out from use. This Onn FM transmitter produces great sound! My only problem with it was that I could not charge my phone with the USB outlet provided. When I tried charging my phone, the transmitter just shut itself off and I could not listen to music or charge my phone. Not sure if I just got a faulty device, but after attempting and failing with several methods, I had to return it as charging my phone on the road is a must for me. If you aren't worried about that however, it's great to use to listen to music in your car!
it's good and all but there's just a lot of static and there's this mans voice that says “paring” when it's looking for a device and says “paired” when it's connected; it just catches me off guard cause it's unexpected and it's not that loud i don't know if it's my car but i just don't like it, but it works
Didn't seat tightly in lighter socket causing it to bounce out when I crossed railroad tracks. It had a lot of static when used to play music as well as on phone calls. I suspect it was because it didn't seat tightly.
Continual low hum regardless of channel I selected. The previous model I used worked well with minimum static. I guess you get what you pay for. I'll be getting rid of this and buying a more expensive model that works.
