Ontario Knives Slicing Knife

My choice in knifes over all brands of stainless knifes, because of the ability to keep a sharp edge longer,and the ease of sharpening.

My mom has had this knife since 1968. She has never sharpened it, and it is still the sharpest knife in the drawer. I'm so excited to find these and at such a great price! Can't wait to have my own since I have a brother and sister who also want mom's one day!

These knives hold a very sharp edge longer than any knife I have. My Old Hickory chef's knife is absolutely wonderful. I have been using it for years. Just keep it dry, sharpen it now and then, and keep it in a knife block; it will last a couple of lifetimes. Don't be afraid of the rust factor - just keep it dry. It's not a big deal at all. I love these knives.

Just got this in the mail today. Just what I expected. I have searched all over for a good quality butcher knife and found no one that carried one until I found Lehman's. It arrived well packaged as all Lehman's shipments do, with a good edge on the blade. Everyone that has seen the knife guesses the price to be over $50.00 and don't believe it is under $10.00 until I show them the invoice. I plan on getting a few more of these soon. I would recommend these to anyone.

I love the Old Hickory Knives. All of mine have been in storage for about 5 years. You don't know how much I miss my Old Hickory Knives. I've been having to use those other ones - from local shopping centers - its been horrible. The other day I bought some and the handles came off of 2 of them after about 1 week of using them.

This is getting 4 stars because it came with no edge from the factory. My husband had to put an edge on all of the Old Hickory knives we ordered! Not a huge deal but quite time consuming with our limited equipment! The knife blades will tarnish (this isn't something that bothers me) We hand wash and dry asap (for the most part) and they are still tarnished....I imagine I could use some Bar Keepers and they would clean right up! They are easy to hone once you have the edge! Even with putting the edge on they are still worth the money and I consider them to be a great deal!
