While these seeds are for my emergency storage, I am happy to share my thoughts on the Open Seed Vault 32-pack assortment of GMO-free, heirloom seeds. The meticulously packaged seeds, conveniently labeled for easy organization, and the wide variety of open-pollinated, non-hybrid vegetables make this product a must-have for any gardening enthusiast. I appreciated the brand's dedication to preserving the genetic diversity of these plants. The assurance of using non-hybrid seeds further enhances the appeal of this collection, as it enables me to save seeds for future seasons knowing they will grow true again and again. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced gardener, these high-quality seeds will enable you to grow an abundant and diverse garden while maintaining the genetic integrity of the plants. With the added advantage of long-term food storage capabilities, the Open Seed Vault is an investment that will continue to yield benefits for years to come.
With prices for produce so high, this one stop survival garden was a prayer answered. I couldn't wait to start my garden. All the seeds were fresh and germinated fast. We are rotating our harvests and feel so happy knowing we can shop in our back yard now.
I was so happy to see heirloom seeds sold at Walmart. I have never used heirloom due to the fact they are hard to find and usually very expensive. These came very well packed and should last several years for planting. I don't have a big area for planting, but I do try to plant year round.
This seed collection is smaller and less expensive than some available, but a big plus is that it comes with planting instructions and information on saving seeds to create a perpetual supply of viable seeds. The seed packets are very clearly labeled and the whole kit can be resealed after use. I have looked at other seed kits, but the planting and seed saving information gives this kit the edge.
These seeds are great for me to keep on hand in case of an emergency. Not only is there a large variety, but they also have a high quality guarantee and are sourced in the USA. None of the seeds seem to be "filler" type seeds. The only ones that might be considered filler by some would be the sunflower seeds, but I enjoy sunflower seeds as a snack so they're a welcome addition. They're also sealed in a nice airtight mylar pouch, which itself is resealable after opening, and all 32 of the seed types are also individually packaged within.
Very high germination rate. Great seeds and good value.
Came fast thanks
I got this to grow my own garden.
There was no “Growing and storing guide in my package, there was everything it said seed wise except for watermelon (they gave me a different variety of winter squash) and I'm guessing the celery seed is this bag full of empty husks /shells of a seed , some of my bags were in labeled so I did some guessing and googling….. I could've bought everything separately got what I actually wanted and paid less.
I thought the “seed vault” was a great idea. It is convenient to have a huge variety of seeds all in one package. It gave me some new plants to try! I was so disappointed when less than 10% of the seeds germinated. I started my seeds in a greenhouse environment. We planted seeds of almost every variety. The peas did fine 12 seeds 10 plants. Tomatoes 18 seeds 6 plants. Cantaloupe 6 seeds 1 plant. Broccoli, beans, radish, onion, lettuce, spinach and many, many others planted and we got nothing. I even direct sowed some thinking it was my seed starting mix but the results were the same …. Nothing. I would not recommend the Survival Garden, sadly you would starve if this was your only food source.
