Optimum Remotes Cablevision Remote Control DVR W/ Batteries & Instructions

Item is exact as Altice provides. Very simple set up. Got it delivered in a couple of days rather then wasting 2 hours,driving 20 miles to the Optimum store standing in line etc.

I ordered this remote to save myself a drive and hassle with the cable company. This was a well-spent $8. It is the same remote that Optimum offers. Honestly, they are not great remotes, but this replacement is precisely what you would expect it to be. The batteries are included, and mine worked perfectly out of the box. I will order another because we seem to break them regularly. I think it's the best option, saving time, gas, money, and frustration. This replacement remote was a good buy.

It works great but it feels very cheap compared to the older Optimum models.

One of my Optimum remotes was very slow. I had recently received two new cable boxes with remotes. After researching I was able to program them myself! But I had problems with billing from Optimum and had been on the phone several days with several different people. Big surprise- no one was able to help me. But, I digress. When my remote became slow, I dreaded trying to call to get a new one, so I saw Walmart sells the exact one. I received it quickly and was able to program it myself. Problem solved. $13 well spent. Would rather pay $13 than try to call cable again and deal,with them.

I am so happy I can get a remote from Walmart instead of having to go to the cable company (which is about 15 miles from my home). The remote works perfectly and I stocked up since my bird is always getting hold of the remote and destroying it. What we do for our pets!

The remote were package nicely, shipped quickly, and arrived on time - but it was a different model than the one pictured on the Walmart website and I had to return to the seller.

Would not work with my Optimum cable. Did not come with instructions. I contacted seller. They emailed directions on how to program it to turn TV on and off, not how to program it to work the cable box. I contacted them again. Their response was it may not work on all Optimum boxes. They never provided any instructions on how to sync the remote to the cable box. Ended up returning it.

I may have to return the remote because of a failure. The "Home" light sometimes comes on and the unit won't work until it goes off. This is a malfunction or the remote.
