love it
I was in the hospital for a total of 3 weeks. This was the fan they kept in my room for me. I loved it so much I went on a search for one for home and of course I found it at the Almighty Walmart.com Lol

optimus high velocity fan
I like this fan, it puts out alot of air. Right now with it being so hot, the fan helps circulate air.

This is a good fan for Air Distribution
I just finished cleaning my Optimus 12 inch fan. The fan blades are sharp and can be removed if you have a 2.5 size allen wrench. The fan is all metal the wire on the grill is close together and you can't get your fingers in there but small hands can. It has 3 speeds and I agree with the other reviewer that the control knob is hard to reach, but I think with this type of fan it is expected. This fan does a great job for distributing either warm air or cold air from ceiling to floor to keep your home warm or cool in the winter or summer. No more cold air on the feet and warm air at the ceiling it does a very good job for keeping the temperature balanced. I like that you can point it in any direction up or down. One thing I worry about is that if it is on the floor facing up to the ceiling you can easily drop something into it so I am careful about that. Another thing I noticed after I cleaned the fan blades is that I could have lost the screw that holds the fan onto the axle when I cleaned the fan blades. So you have to make sure it not going to go down the drain when cleaning those blades. This is a completely different type of fan in comparison to my box fan. My box fan only distributes air from wall to wall so I am very happy with my purchase and a lot happier with the temperature in my house. I uploaded two pictures and they show the allen wrench you need. As for a personal fan I can't say that I like air blowing in my face I would rather use it to distribute the air in the house. I have 10ft ceilings so this does a great job.

Not industrial power
Fan looks nice. It does not blow enough air even on highest setting. Power not as described.
