The pressure sensor helps me avoid brushing too hard, and the built-in timer makes sure I clean evenly. My gums are healthier, and there's almost no plaque. I wanted to share my experience with the Oral-B IO 6 electric toothbrush, which I purchased based on my dental hygienist's recommendation for a model with a pressure sensor. I have been using the toothbrush three times a day since it arrived nine days ago, and while I appreciate many of its features, I have encountered a few challenges. One issue is that the handle is quite smooth, causing it to slip from my grip during brushing, especially when it gets covered in toothpaste goop. To address this, I've started using a rubber glove, which has helped. Additionally, I've noticed that the Bluetooth interactive display on the app lags behind my actual brushing. For instance, it often shows that I'm brushing my top teeth when I've already moved on to my bottom teeth. This can be a bit confusing. Lastly, I've experienced some inconsistency with the buttons on the toothbrush. When I try to switch between Smart Modes, the bottom button doesn't always respond. Despite these frustrations, I appreciate the pressure sensor feature and have decided to keep the toothbrush. However, I did expect a more refined design given the investment.

I bought this toothbrush last fall and was very happy with it…..for awhile. I'm not sure if it's just me but the vibrations caused my inner ear to vibrate (I know, call me crazy). That in turn caused my ear to ache. At first I thought that maybe I had an ear infection. I had my doctor take a look and it's fine. Now I'm unable to use it. I'm very disappointed. I can't find my receipt either….ugh.

Got this as a gift - it broke after 7 months - magnet holding brush head detached from base - can't use warranty due to needing receipt that I do not have. Can't glue or weld it little magnet so the brush heads do not vibrate property. As for the performance of the brush, it is great, good cleaning of my teeth and lots of features,. But the quality of the product is crap if it breaks after 7 months. My previous OralB brush lasted 8 plus years.

I started having issues with my series 6 a couple months ago, were it would turn off even when it was fully charged to 100%, I would then charge it again for the whole night and when I tried to use it would shut off after 10-20 seconds, this kept happening for multiple months, then it would be fine for a couple of weeks then it would start happening again, I read online it has been happening to other people as well, so it's a software or hardware issue on all oral b series, it's going to be two years since I bought it next month, so I sent it in for repair, hopefully they can find a solution or I'm switching to Philips, these things aren't cheap to only last two years.

Had it just over a year and the battery has issues. It goes from fully charged to no charge randomly - usually after about a minute. This seems to be a wide spread issue with the battery management settings. Very poor for such an expensive device.

Major design flaws in not only the base, but the head of the brushes. There are areas that can not be cleaned out properly, no matter how hard I try. Every few weeks I bang out black chunks of build up from within these deep cavities.
