Years back the dentist recommended the use of an electric toothbrush, oral b to be exact. My wife and I have been using them ever since, VERY glad we made the switch. Since our son turned four and we've been buying the small battery operated type we've decided this was the best route at the best price. Though we have the more expensive ones for ourselves , I would more than recommend the Oral B 1000 to any, and everyone. Dental Hygiene is a big part of your health, do yourself a favor and buy this product!
After receiving an Oral-B 4000 as a Christmas gift and absolutely loving it, I purchased more for my whole family. I purchased this Oral-B 1000 for my almost 10-yr-old daughter. She has always brushed with a regular toothbrush as best as she could for about 2 minutes but her teeth always looked dingy and yellow. From day 1 of using the Oral-B 1000, her teeth have been whiter and polished looking. Her smile is even more beautiful now!! Beautiful, beautiful shiny teeth! My 8-yr-old has her own Oral-B 1000 too (pink one from another store) and I am seeing the same results! I purchased the additional 2-yr protection plan for $5 more because they are kids and sometimes careless. Also, they are using the Pro-Health for Me Sensitive Brush Heads and they are soft and effective. They are the same size as the adult sensitive brush heads, but slightly cheaper. My girls love the Oral-B 1000! They have no complaints about the spinning or pulsations. I just asked them and they said they wouldn't go back to a regular toothbrush now! Definately worth the money.
Smaller and light handle than my old model, so it is easy to hold for brush. Very powerful to clean. I am the fan of Oral-B electrical tooth brush, I have been using this products for more than 10 years. No acomplain at all. Great deal for this specific offer. I paid $29.97 for the unit and extra two brush heads, It is super over the value! This product without extra brush heads costs over $60 in Walgreens and $70 in CVS. However, be carefull to purchase the replacement brush heads from Amazon.com. I ordered once but end of fake, it was so bad which hurt my gum. I had reported to Oral-B and they had confirmed that it is fake. So buy your brush heads from trusted stores, such as Walmart, Target, Walgreen, CVS, Riteaid, etc. Enjoy it for the great smile and healthy teeth!
With the special online-only $10 rebate got this toothbrush that works great for ~$25. More than basic features including indicator lights and 2 min timer, but without some of the other bells like 30 sec 'quad' timer. Tried one of the simpler/cheaper replaceable battery products but disappointed w/much-lower power (but still probably sufficient) and need to replace or recharge separate batteries about as often as this unit holds the charge (~1 wk). It'd be great if these brushes had readily & economically replaceable batteries instead of having to dispose & replace but the products probably not designed to last much longer than the batteries anyway (~2 yr). Why spend 50 - 100 or more for a toothbrush??
I have had this brush for several years and I feel that it has saved me money that would have been spent on a periodontist.
This is my second Oral B toothbrush. It is an outstanding value. My first was purchased 15 years ago and it still works pretty well, but I paid over $100 for it back then. It started to act a little funny so I ordered a new one. I let the old one run till it was "dead" then charged it up again and still works fine, gave it to my grand daughter. I will always have an Oral B!!
This is our third electric tooth brush and by far the best. I've only had this product for a week, but all day long my mouth feels like I just came from a cleaning at the dentist. I really feel the difference in my gums. I had stopped using the Sonicare electric brush since I had gotten some deep pockets between gum and teeth, which disappeared after going back to a standard tooth brush. I think everything will improve with the Oral B.
It is a nice toothbrush that does everything I need at a good price.
Great toothbrush, but be aware that two of Walmart's Oral B electric toothbrush offerings are the same, except that one of them comes with three brush attachments instead of two. I foolishly thought that item named "Oral B PC 1000 Electric Toothbrush Pack" was two sets of the brush attachments, rather than an electric toothbrush + two brushes. The identical item (except for the extra two brush attachments) is named "Oral B Helathy Clean Precision 1000." The current prices for both are excellent, but be careful. Instead of having one electric toothbrush with a lot of extra brush attachments, I now have two electric toothbrushes and fewer extra attachments. Caveat emptor (buyer beware).
*Make sure to charge this when you first get it out of the box. It does not come charged enough to work right away. *Very convenient since it has its own charger! No batteries needed. *It feels really clean after you use it. *The timer is pretty cool since it kinda pauses to let you know. *Since it's Oral-B, you know that it will last you for a long time and it is worth the investment.
